Science!
I wonder whether the S.DICE buyout will help eat up some of the BTCT wall?

That's 150K BTC that will be released tomorrow. I imagine a lot of the shareholders will cash out, but a good proportion of them will be looking for new investment opportunities.

Well, if 2.24% of those BTC choose ActM, the wall is toast! Grin

And USD/BTC might crash too which wouldn't help much haha.

You were right! BTC-e.com USD/BTC is taking a big dip.

True! I forget because I use BitStamp, plus haven't actually cashed my BTC out for fiat at any point yet..

This is a related question though. How does Ken turn the BTC back into USD to pay for the NRE? What options does he have since Gox isn't capable of it? I'm just curious, I hear a few different alternatives tossed out here or there but its not a concern for me so I haven't figured that out just yet.

I'm expecting at least some SatoshiDice shareholders to get some money in ActM in the next 24/48h, with their BTC150,000.

The first ones will probably get into Asicminer, inflating the price a good deal; the problem is that Asicminer has been more or less constant for the last weeks, so there's really nothing that substantial to justify a big momentum up. After the price goes up a bit, mostly will diversify into other stuff, so ActM is a really good candidate.

The volume of AMC-PT on btct.co has been going strong in the last days and coupled with increasing VMC's pre-orders, the last part of the NRE funds will be gathered in just some days.

Why? You can't cash out on Gox  Grin

So I am wondering the big price difference between bitfunder and btct. What's the point? Thanks.

The difference is that AMC on bitfunder opened at .0005 and a few million shares were sold at .0005  and .0008. So .0025 is relatively high and has caused some consolidation. If you look at the graph you can see that we are trending upwards, but we had some sell off from profit takers (which is natural and expected). BTC-TC on the other had its IPO open at .0025, so everyone is starting there and there is no downward pressure since everyone bought at the same price.

That is the reason why there is a big block on BTCTC and no so much on bitfunder. Ken worked it out pretty nicely. By the time we are through that block on BTC-TC we will be past .0025 on bitfunder.

Hope that answered your question.

Thanks for your explanations.

Someone link me or quickly give me the summary of where we are at with the NRE?

From the AMC thread

the deadline for the NRE is 30 days from july 2nd, correct?  That means if you don't have the 1 million raised by august 1st, you will rely only on other manufacturers chips from that point, rather than your own...
yes it's icing on the cake, but a lot of people are betting on that icing.. for you to have rights to a superior chip that nobody else does would mean you would have an upper hand on the market

We have just launched our Fast-Hash-One machines yesterday and already have sales of $62,799.00 so it is not going to take more than a week at this rate to have the NRE.  I have also talked to the Director of Sales and those 30 days were just our original estimate to them to get the funds. There is no fixed deadline, but of course we want to start producing chips asap.

3/0 approval on BTC-TC. 1 more vote and and ActiveMining is approved.

Im staying up having a beer on it!  I think that last vote is going to come in any time soon.  BlackLilac, are there any other LTC-GLOBAL shareholders you know of online at this hour?  Surely there is someone that is a shareholder on the other side of the globe from me that could take a look at this asset and place a vote?  Kiss

Science!
Thanks Vbs, I was long ActM, but I had considerably underestimated the growth potential of this venture.
