I guess if we move to Havelock the US can start trading again. Havelock is in Canada but just sold their company to someone in Panama a few days ago.  Having our shares listed at Havelock will bring a bit more legitimacy to the company as serious investors are looking at CaVirtEx and Havelock right now.  It's VirtEx's order book that the BTC ATM's are using for the ATM trading. They also have the debut cards/url] so it will make it real easy to get money out.

I worry that even if ActM is able to list on Havelock, it would only be a matter of time before Ken has to go through the juggling act yet again.

Direct shares may be the only sustainable action until a colored coin system is implemented.

I agree. I don't see much evidence suggesting that this Panamanian investment gives Havelock any more legitimacy than any other exchange...

Are You Shpongled?
TL;DR Bitfunder shutting down
Called it!
My advice would be buy everything you can now and hold for the divs. It we are a success the divs will outstrip the share price in a short space of time. This could go only one way (up) for months and months to come.
Haha they won't have much choice after November 1. Either they aren't verified on Bitfunder so they can't trade, or they are verified and there's no liquidity because of the shutdown! Bitfunder is not far from death at this point.

decentralize EVERYTHING...
On the plus side, this means my share transfer will have to go ahead without my assistance given my inability to log in to bitfunder.com.

Ken, I would suggest retaining dividend payments until this debacle is sorted. As a long term (since IPO) shareholder of AMC I couldn't care less about day traders and speculators and the situation they are in. If I can't sell my shares for a month or two it makes no difference to me.

I'm relatively lucky that I only have 1btc in my account so the weexhcange.co nonsense isn't going to send me broke. I feel for anyone with significant funds in their accounts.

I don't recall anyone being in danger of losing funds. Lighten up on the FUD.

Important Notice (November 4, 2013)

Please be advised that BitFunder is ceasing operations.  In connection with BitFunder’s shut-down, please note the following points, which supplement the points outlined in BitFunder’s October 8, and October 11, 2013 notices:

* As of November 14, 2013, no BitFunder user will be able to enter into any new positions or sell positions on the BitFunder website.

* BitFunder users are encouraged to transfer their shares from the BitFunder site to the respective issuer(s) no later than December 1, 2013.

* As of December 2, BitFunder will initiate a transfer from the BitFunder site to the respective issuer(s) of any remaining shares held by BitFunder users, and will provide the issuer(s) with the public bitcoin address associated with the user account.  After transfer, each user will need to work with the issuer(s) with respect to the future treatment of the shares.

* On December 2, 2013, bitcoin balances in the accounts of all users will be transferred to their WeExchange accounts.

* As of the date of this notice, BitFunder is not assessing any new fees against any BitFunder user.

* Notwithstanding the shut-down, the site will remain available for viewing and users will be able to request records from BitFunder until at least December 15, 2013.

BitFunder appreciates your understanding in these matters.

I will be making a detailed post explaining more later on. I know this will be hard for some of you, but please try to hold off on the conspiracy theories until then.

Thank You,
Ukyo

EDIT: My brother just got back from using the ATM machine and he say's that it's using bitstamp now not VirtEx.

Ken,

Please DO NOT pay dividends on Nov 6 through BitFunder.

Given that BF is closing down, and there are endless posts of people having problems getting BTC out, please do NOT use bitfunder for dividend payments.

If you need to, withhold dividends and accumulate them for shareholders, until the sh!tfest is solved.

+1

Divs are not that important right now.

Are we going to be receiving dividends this wednesday on our private bitcoin address that we included in correspondence to the shares transferred on Bitfunder to AMC-TENDER?
