I truly believe an Activemining coin alt-coin would be our best short to mid range solution. This would open us to to being able to trade on any of the other alt-coin trading sites, as well as private trades amongst share holders. I believe other securities would follow suit shortly after as well.

for none US, are you willing to hand over your info to Weexchange which is in USA, in there FAQ, they are required by law to have your detail to do some exchanges, but others service dont require, but reality right now, bitfunder wants you to hand over your info, so therefore your info can be accessed by gov too,  thats what i believe and feel.

vote if we should migrate to havelock, 796 looks unproffessional, had hard time understanding how stocks listed there, kinda messy.

i vote havelock

I vote Havelock or 796. Any platform to trade on at this point would be great.

Why?  Have we not learned that a central point of failure is NOT a good idea by now?  The only answer is colored coins or direct shares.

Take a look at this regarding Havelock:

We have discussed with our lawyers our situation and options for us to proceed in setting up Havelock as a long-term viable enterprise.  We are now pursuing these options, but cannot provide a firm time frame as of now.  We were hoping that we could be more specific but this is all the information we can provide at this time.

It is inevitable that Havelock and every other exchange will eventually follow suit

I have sent a message to 796.com about setting up ActiveMining there.  This could be a stop gap solution until we could do a colored coin client or an Alt coin solution.

Thank you. Please keep us posted.

what if Weexchange gets hacked? or if something bad happen and gov take your details, etc

decentralize EVERYTHING...
I only held 50,000 shares after the "big crash" down to .0015.
Before that, I managed to sell 150,000 above IPO value on BTCT.
Don't worry, I'm alright.  Ken is the only reason the share price has plummeted this far, nothing to do with BF or BTCT
I'm Canadian BTW

@VolanicEruptor  So, I caused it to plummeted this far, VE Get Real.  Nothing to do with BTC-TC closing down and Bitfunder cutting off US Citizens, just me caused this panic.  Get Real.

Your lack of marketing skills crashed the price below IPO long before BTCT announced they are shutting down.  When people started learning how to do math, and realizing you would need to make $3.5 million in profits just to make us .0025, caused the price to drop because your sales figures were way too low.  I've been around a long time, Ken.. the share price was very unhealthy LONG BEFORE burnside made his announcement.  Get real.

Come on VE, you got yours. now have some decency get of here with your opinions for a while.

You're becoming as helpful as the trolls you once admonished.

An altcoin which represents shares of a specific company is interesting. There would be no mining for it, and it would be strictly an accounting system.

As long as there is an accounting system for ownership of shares, they still can be traded over the Internet.

Ken have you considered this?

click: Colored Coins

But those have not been implemented in to the protocol yet. But, what we could do is create a alt-coin that represents the shares.

You would have to have mining, to support the network.  The miners would receive fees for the transactions, just like Bitfunder receives fees now.

for us layman who've never created "alt coins" is this a complicated undertaking?

Please let me know if there is a plan for US citizens to continue trading ActiveMining on another platform. Thanks.

Working on that as we speak.

I think it's obvious and very understandable that people act somewhat emotional today. Smiley

Yes, something like this wouldn't be too hard to implement. I emailed Ken about this some time ago. All we would have to do is config the protocol to fit our need: pre-mine all 10m shares, make them non-fungible (only non-negative integers), and make them redeemable by transfer on BF.
