Even i didn’t find any new good altcoin within last few months, for investment. So It's better to buy old potential altcoins or wait until market become turn into good condition
True, it is not perfect for beginner. Not many new altcoins are currently able to increase after listing on the market, because the current market conditions are not good. so with the current market conditions it is very difficult for each new altcoin to increase. so in my opinion new altcoins can indeed provide benefits but we must also be able to understand market conditions before we will invest.

In Investing we must have their own ways and beliefs, so in this case we must have a special stand so that it is not easy to follow others in holding a coin, because some investors prefer old coins that already have potential because the risk is smaller when compared to new coins, but for those who are ready to bear the risk, the target always chooses new coins that have been run by an experienced team, because if the new project is successfully run then they will definitely get a big profit in a very short time, and the opposite can also happen.

Depending on market conditions, if we are in a bear market condition like now, you should not try to invest your funds with new projects because it will cause a risk of loss, usually new projects will be less attractive to investors during a bear market, so don't think now is the right time for us to invest in new projects, it is better to invest with old projects because old projects have been proven to last under any conditions.I believe every time I do something without homework I end up in disaster. Maybe I have my own point of view in the crypto market. If market conditions are down, or a bear market is in progress, then most new projects are very difficult to develop. Unlike the bull market, whatever crypto is developed, it will be successful, at least there is a price change after launch.

I believe quite the opposite, the time is for to invest in the big guns in the game. In particularly Ethereum drags my attention a lot these days with merging and Serenity updates.

It misleads, a totally wrong statement. Investing in new projects is riskier than investing in old projects.
New projects can't prove anything, their coins can be worthless if the projects fail.
Since there are already too many failed projects, investing in new projects isn't very recommended.
I'm sure the stranger who said that statement, possibly wants to promote a new coin to you or to other people.
If you want to invest in safer places, kindly choose old projects. Their coins are safe because they already survive on the exchanges/market for a long time. Even though their prices are cheap now, the prices will grow along with the upcoming bullish season.
