After 1 year, people almost forgot about other viruses. Anyone knows how many people died from flu in 2020/2021 ? Do people still die from Ebola? What about bird and swine flu?
If I'm not mistaken, among Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sputnik V, Moderna, medicine still havent discovered the best and successful vaccine?

The issue with virus is that they mutate in relatively short timespan. That is why we never have 100% effective vaccines against various infections causes as a result of viruses. Even in the case of COVID 19, the most effective vaccines (such as Pfizer and Moderna) only have a efficacy of around 95%. However, it is still initial stages and more and more vaccines are coming to the market with every passing month. Maybe some of these new vaccines can take the efficacy closer to 100%.

I'm glad that pessimistic predictions of some "experts" regarding the crash of the world economy have not materialized.

Well.. global economy hasn't crashed, but I can't say that it is in really good health either. You can't solely rely on the Dow Jones Index and the other stock indices as a parameter for the economic resurgence. The stock market only deals with publicly listed companies and excludes the small and medium sized enterprises. Some of the sectors, such as tourism, hospitality and aviation are in death bed right now. 6 more months of the pandemic would spell doom for them.

I just checked the aviation part, and it looks like, at least for some of them, this is not the case.

-snip-

From the graphs above it doesn't look like the companies are in a bad shape currently.

Not trying to say that COVID-19 hasn't impacted the world economy. I'm just saying that the economy turned out to be more resilient than some analysts thought.

Share prices of airlines do not accurately reflect the current situation. The balance sheets do, however, and they are gloomy. The fact that share prices still look so good is mainly due to cheap money and the hope that the pandemic will soon be over, which I doubt. Airlines still have 80-90% fewer passengers than they had in 2019.

Their business is down and therefore I don't know how the stock prices are up. Even in my country (India), the stock prices of various airline companies (such as InterGlobe Aviation and SpiceJet) are up by at least 50% when compared to the levels 12 months ago. But these companies are posting record losses in their financial reports. And the future outlook also looks bleak, with all the new strains of the virus and reports of third wave in Europe.

Now we are experiencing a almost Double infections Like when the first attack in 2020, Now Our country is suffering from another incoming Lockdown.

I don't know what is the reason maybe People are campante because of the Vaccine that's being released?

People seems to be comfortable of the vaccine presence but majority don't want to be vaccinated .

Our government is losing their posture because of this effect.

Brazil is a good example of a country reaping the consequences of having stupid leaders. All these ultra conservative politicians follow the same playbook- deny the virus is dangerous, deny the science about transmission, deny the growing pandemic is a problem, deny that statistics on deaths and hospitalizations, and then when it's too big to deny anymore blame it on something else instead of your own failed leadership.  Doesn't matter the country, the conservatives in each one have done this.

Jair Bolsonaro won the 2018 presidential elections with 55% of the vote. He was supported by the evangelical churches and the agrobusiness lobby. But the main factor behind his victory was the disqualification of leftist candidate Lula da Silva. If Lula was his opponent, then Bolsonaro would have lost the elections and therefore he got him disqualified (and jailed). Within 2 years (he took charge on 2019 January), Bolsonaro has managed to destroy vast swathes of Amazon rainforest, and encouraged illegal miners and loggers to invade indigenous reservations. Sometimes, lessons are learnt the hard way. Now at least some of those who voted for him would realize that doing so was a mistake.

The fact is that vaccination in some countries does not give the expected result, and even after vaccination, people begin to get sick with coronavirus. Due to the fact that people are tired of quarantine and neglect various precautions, the death rate is still quite high in certain countries.
I think it's just not effective yet and also, some people after getting vaccinated feel they have freedom which is basically wrong because vaccination still has to be done in some stages. So yes, social life after 1 year has passed during this pandemic at least we have to be more aware of the health protocols that have been implemented because after all, we can remain safe if we continue to adhere to rules such as the most basic step is to keep wearing masks.

There is a study that COVID 19 will not go away that easily. It's not like that it would immediately vanish even with an existing vaccine. A vaccine's purpose is to lessen the effects of COVID 19 by building up immunity. It is possible that even if you are vaccinated, you can still be infected by the virus, but with less symptoms and a lower risk of death. Since this is new to us, people are advised to still take precautions even if they are vaccinated to protect yourself and others from getting infected.

People should realize that this vaccine is also in the process though researchers see the potential that it can avoid being hit by the virus and lessen the chance of dying once you've got vaccinated.
It's still important to impose all those health protocols, Covid 19 still hurting lots of people around the world, the news said that in some places they already got the third wave and for other places they are suffering from the 2nd waves, 1year was quickly passed and still there's no assurance that this virus will be gone in the next coming year/s.

the worse is yet to come because the newer variants are more potent and can spread faster. there are possibilities that the ones who are vaccinated already can still be infected by the newer variants to which vaccines today are going to be useless. now the labs are going to have to create another study and trials again. the more we suffer from these lockdowns the more will just kill selves out of depression. the unemployment and families evicted from homes are just making all these worse.

The higher the number of infected people, higher will be the probability of new mutations. Already there are resistant strains being reported from countries such as UK, South Africa and Brazil. The Brazilian strain seems to be very dangerous, as large number of people have died in that country during the last few days. It is still too early to say whether the vaccines will work against these strains or not. That sort of data takes many months of research to get finalized.

Everyone thought that a year after Covid 19 strike, everything would start to look normal again. No one has anticipated that this will be longer
LOL I dont think that was the case. But when vaccines started coming out people were really seeing light at the end of the tunnel. But reality is that those vaccines needs to be produced and people vaccinated fro that developed vaccine to have any affect. 70% of all world population will defiantly not get vaccines this year. Hopefully next year. Catastrophic would be if even next year we would not be able to protect everyone.
This is always the case when you plan to do something one thing and in one time, but in reality everything turns out completely differently and in a long time. It is true that at first it seemed that the situation would be resolved quite successfully in a year, but reality always makes its own adjustments. Now, if the situation with vaccination is bad in your country, then the most important thing is to endure until the summer and the natural improvement of the epidermal situation, and then by the fall to be fully armed and make a large-scale vaccination.

I dont see that many countries will be able to vaccine 70% of their population by Autumn this year. Currently best is Israel with 50% population fully vaccinated. When Summer ends they will have to vaccine all their population again. Half year will pass. So those that think that rich countries will vaccine first and then poor countries will follow are wrong since virus will keep mutate and people will need to get new dose every half year.

Yeah, this pandemic virus has brought so much tension and suffering to many people, there are also a lot of changes that happened because of this virus, a lot of people have lost their job because the company has to get closed to avoid the virus spread to many people. As of this day, the virus is still there but thankfully we already have now the vaccine but the bad thing about it is that there are still some people who are afraid of getting the vaccine because of thinking that it could have the bad side effect.

The pandemic greatly affected small business and if large companies continued to work, then small business suffers to this day, adhering to quarantine restrictions. More entrepreneurs are going bankrupt. In many countries, as well as in Ukraine, the number of cases is only increasing, and this is against the background of the fact that the government has acquired a fairly large number of doses of the vaccine. We must realize that the coronavirus has not disappeared anywhere and it is still killing people to this day, Despite the fact that a year has passed and this will continue, Until people have immunity.

Here in the Philippines, after 1 year of COVID (the anniversary was last March 15th), we are still under quarantine. And one analyst claimed that Philippines is not back from square one, but rather 10 steps backward. Despite that with the preparedness of the government, it’s just that they cannot afford to go full lockdown because of no more budget in their side. Both the local and national government cannot afford to go back to the strictest form of quarantine, but instead they opt to go for granular lockdowns by barangay (villages). Sad to say that our country has the longest quarantine in the world, and yet here we are, getting worse because of the immediate surge of cases (especially that new variants and our own variant have already begun spreading around).

From around 1k+ daily cases, we are now averaging between 4k to 5k+ daily cases and it’s really alarming. I fear that the daily case average will gradually increase even more before March ends.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been going on for more than a year, but there hasn't been any significant change in human life. Even though several
countries have started distributing vaccines to their citizens, the corona virus still continues to spread. Maybe because the corona virus has more
and more variants, therefore new vaccines must also continue to be created. It is increasingly difficult now to find a job, then the number of
unemployed continues to increase. Because many companies are still affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, even in my country the number of
bankrupt companies continues to grow. Therefore, I am very grateful to still be able to get income from the crypto world, although not much money
can be made, but at least it can be fulfilled for daily needs.

If we remember this it really hurts. The effects of this pandemic have been tremendous. even for most it feels very heavy. Many have lost their jobs, have reduced income, and even have difficulty making money just to eat. lucky that crypto has really helped some of us to stay afloat. Moreover, during this pandemic, crypto conditions are actually getting better and continue to develop towards the bullish time.

According to the Pew Research Center, the number of poor people have increased by almost 130 million as a result of this pandemic. Those who have the skills to get meaningful employment through various online means have managed to stay afloat. On the other hand, a lot of the people who don't have such skills lost their jobs and were pushed to poverty. And cryptocurrency have indirectly benefitted from the pandemic. The inflation created as a result of various stimulus measures have propelled the prices of BTC.
