Hello all,

There's one thing I have ever noticed, after ico the token price dropped drastically could anyone explain why such is happening...
Eg, there are some tokens are I have in my wallet which I want to trade since then till now I have been waiting for the price to come up but instead decreasing. What do I do in this scenario?

Nowadays this is actually normal  for me after ICO projects almost all tokens from it are dropped or below in ICO price. The best thing to do is patiently wait for the bullrun or increase the price, I believe market will recover soon.

I'm sure a lot of people can relate to this. It's actually the current trend and it's been on like this for over 8 months now. I have coins in one of my wallets which have almost become dust in terms of price. Sometimes, they go a whole week without volume of trade in those coins.

A lot of factors cause the drop in price of those coins. They range from dumping from private sales investors alongside their huge bonuses to lack of updates from the team and devs on the project. These project may as well be scams too. You might have to check their community to see what's going on in there and they're talking about.

I advise you check for updates on those projects whose coins you're hodling. If it's gotten to a situation where the team have simply gone quiet for a long time, then that's a red flag, and you need to make huge decisions of cutting your losses and moving on.

it's a big problem. If the token price was $ 1 (ico price), then bounty hunters will sell them for even a few cents. This is a reality, but that is not the only reason. Much depends on the project itself and the team.

this always happen when the first day list in the market, in that day all people sell all token they have and then the price drop down instanly though the price of ico and pre-ico hight. this work affect a great way to price of token, i think we just hold them a period time and wait the price rise and buy later.

When an exchange of coins happen for the first time, a lot of activities take place, which in turn affects the price of that particular Altcoin. Besides, the market is down now. The price will go up but it will take some time. Being patient is the only safe option now.
It is indeed patient that we maintain to hold all the altcoins that we have, with the influence of low prices after the ICO, and usually all because of fear that prices will continue to fall, so people who get without buying at the ICO will immediately sell it not before the price is up or down,

Because we are in a bear market. And also there are always bounty hunters who are selling their tokens very cheap because they do not want to wait if the token will be successful.

I think it's normal here, the price goes up and down. If you are asking for what to do, the my answer is "decision is in your hand". The tokens are yours, so it's up to you what will you do to them. But, remember one thing, don't forget to research about it before you decide to sell or hold the token.

I will advice you to hold if the coin is worth and if it has a great product to keep it alive but if the team and the project has no potential in surviving this bear market we are right now then there is no time than selling it .
On the drastic drop of coin after ico , I think it depend on the market time just as we are in bear market mode which has to work in line with btc value or eth and the fear of the market also made investors to dump early in other to have some profit so as to rebuy at the bottom , cos if you look at most ico that was lunched last year when we had bull were all perform after hitting market so the bear is one of the reason most are dip now.

after the sale of ICO is completed and the token is entered in the market list, the usual price of token dump is sometimes the price of the dump is very far from when buying a strange ICO indeed and there is an analysis of investors needed to hold that requires a long time. and I have my own way to use it to make a profit.

i think in this case, most investors that had sells all their tokens from ico sale has a enough profit gaining its because of a extra bonus tokens. they dump the coin because the main currency or a bitcoin is not yet stable.. so, they planning a hit and run strategy. or maybe they buy back if the price totally dumped. this is only my thought!

Bear markets are like this. The price of many ICO projects has gone down a lot. This reflects the weak expectations of the market. Especially in bear markets. No profit has been made.

it's caused because bitcoin dropped so as to make prices follow the price of bitcoin, all the same as altcoins that already existed dimarket also dropped following the movement of bitcoin, so be careful if you invest ico at the present time

Because in these current market condition.
No investors wants to invest on ICO except a really good ICO.
So, listing ICO tokens is this current market is a suicide for the project

You should wait for a year or two before your token will increase because investments in the most ICOs is a long-term project. A startup could not become profitable and well-known in a short-term period.

I think this is always happened in many ICO when the ICO was finish and then the tokens/coin listing in any exchange because maybe their ICO doing airdrop or bounty. And when tokens for airdrop and bounty doesn't locked and they (bounty hunter and who join airdrop) will sell to gain profit. So if you just in case like this I think you can always trade your token or just hodl n waiting for their project completed but maybe it will took a long time maybe.

It is a great tactic to buy new coin that you like. Find a good ICO and wait until the token will be listed on the first exchange. 90 percent of all ICOs are losing their price and you will be able to get their tokens for 0,3x price from the token sale price.

these drops have a very simple and realistic  reason.
unlike you the majority of the market knows that the token they have bought and the hype of it has an expiration date so they know that they should act fast before that date comes and before others sell. it is like a race to dump faster to get the biggest amount out. and as the dump begins the prices start to go down.
and the reason for that "expiration date" is that the token has no future, no usage or anything that can give it some sort of viability in longer term.

ico coin prices dropped dramatically after ico ended. it is natural, there are lots of ico and bounties that I follow and the average all goes down. the price does not match like before before ico ended, i think mending you just save your coin until your coin price is profitable for you

Some ICOs these days are more concerned about enriching themselves, then by the time they list, they seem not to be concerned about how the tokens behave after listing. Except for some few ones that follow up their listing tokens and ensure that they grow and trade above ICO price.
What you should so most times when you receive your tokens,, study them first and deduce from your study if there is any likelihood for it to dump.
If it appears it could dump, sell and buy back if it dips.
