Airdrops are great as it gives you free coins but be cautious when filling out forms. There are some phishing attempts through forms and some require private key. Never ever give out your private key.

in these days practically there a few air drops occur within a day, but the thin is that it is not very much easy to identify weather it is scam or not. So the best thing is to participate each one of them, but never ever give your private keys of if the particular Air Drop ask for Private key, don't participate for that too.  Cool

Seeing as there are so many airdrops coming out and 99% of them are a scam with very few being legitimate, I decided to create this list help noobs who have trouble differentiating the two. I would also like to say, if you are not sure about a project DO NOT INVEST! Please do not take my advice as investment advice either; I am just trying to help give people who are a little less experienced in the crypto world by providing a little more information.

I will create a list of scam airdrops and a small list of legitimate airdrops. Please feel free to comment so that we can add more to the list and make it as accurate as possible.

Scams:

Ethereum Ultimate - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--2410677
Ethereum Cash - ANN thread now locked by scummy dev

Litecoin Classic [scam version: released about a week or two ago] - thread has been deleted for some reason

There are many more scummy airdrops but I don't have the time to check them all. Please feel free to comment any scams and I will add them.

Legitimate:

I agree with your point of view, after all, at the moment, most of the airdrops are liar, but we have no way to identify whether or not liar, then the forum should have more measures to limit the airdrop

You've got a great idea to actually share if airdrops are good or not, not simply list and push them as somewhere is usual. Keep updating, please, I am following this thread now and join the effort. Thank you.

Just bookmark this web http://myetherwallet.com you are no need to click if someone give your myetherwallet link.. it can be a phising link.
Be careful  when you type your eth address, make sure you copy paste the address not the private key.
Don't pay first to start the airdrop, you're just joined airdrop to get free coins, not to pay his Shitcoin.
last, be active member.

If you are weary of clicking links then you could open them on a phone or a tablet, something that is not tied to your crypto in any way.
Never give out your private key, wallet.dat or keystore.  If you are asked to type something into a console and paste the results, like into a webform, make damn sure you know what information you are passing on.  It is your responsibility to know the difference between an address and a key.  I avoid any airdrop that asks me to donate.

Personally i would like to say these ; most of those airdrops were either true or not, and the main thing is that they are just making it for them to make money also, and aside from that there are lots of schemes i've seen lately involving airdrops, hopefully this will be fixed immediately. I would watch also this thread for more updates regarding this one for us to be morw aware.

This is both an opportunity and a risk for you to pass your credentials into the hands of scammers who can then deceive you.

The main problem is that beginners specify the keys to their purses instead of specifying only the wallet. I myself have seen many times the lists with the participants. And there are 10% of those who specify a password instead of safe digits. Just be careful. Y must give minimum of private information and everything will be OK.

Most airdrops are worthless giveaways.  Sharedrops and signature campaigns are where its at.  Pick up the free "airdrops" (giveaways) if you want to, but most are worthless and in many cases phishing.

Also, OP, Bitsend does legit weekly airdrops, Bitcore does weekly sharedrops, and Byteball does monthly/bimonthly sharedrops.

Can you explain to me what a sharedrop is? Is it a drop that only happens to those that are holding a currency and then only the holders are eligible for the sharedrop? As with SNGLS for example?
