so true

The important thing is never give a personal key for anything, this time is very vulnerable. so we must always be vigilant and careful if any suspicious should ask questions and do not do harmful actions
Yes, people somehow get convinced by scammers that private keys are needed to send the money but it's obvious they are not. Another scam scheme was used by litecoin classic stated by the op. They asked people to send them some coins in advance to receive a lot more in the future. More sophisticated scamming can be done by sending e-mails which look a lot like legit ones, but say that from now on to access the wallet you need to log in on an upgraded website version or something. Then they see the password you enter on their fake copy and re-enter it on the real website and withdraw the money. I would say it's best for newbies not to join airdrops at all not to get scammed.

And there are some airdrops for bitcoins that require for you to give them your private key, i dont know why the people are giving their private keys to those scammy altcoins calling theirselves as "free airdrops" it is all bullshit.
Of course that once that the project decides to leave the scene, they will steal all the bitcoins, or tokens, or whatever is on the wallet that the people gave them the private key.
It is sad, but most of the airdrops are now scam, and there are more of them day by day, it is something that will never end.

Exactly this. Some people just blindly give away their private keys without even thinking twice without understanding how important they actually are. The newbies tend to make these mistakes often since they wish to join the airdrops in some way or another to get some quick profit, but instead incur quick losses due to such silly mistakes. Also, never download any kind of wallets unless you are absolutely sure it is legit as you said.

Kindly list all the airdrops which does pay in btc. I do not require anything that is paying in ETH or any other ocin. Is there any airdrop which is genuine and does offer the payment in BTC or so. Also previously which all coins if any idea which was given as a airdrop in btc coins?

there are too many airdrops nowadays, i think it will get hard to follow them all. Especially when using this forum to do that, this is more of a database type of task.

anyway, i hope you will manage to make this airdrop madness little bit less messy

Thanks for the thread, this sort of thing is very useful. People definitely need to be careful with airdrops - some are legit, but some are scams that ask for your private key... never ever give away your private key, or your wallet could be emptied.

See In Most of the Airdrops newbies are not allowed to participate and those particular airdrops are not meant for Newbies. Please do check the conditions before filling any Airdrop if there is mentioned the stake value of Newbie or not. If there is not mentioned and then also anyone fill the form then it will be invalid as the company which is providing Airdrop also checks the bitcointalk's profile. So be careful before filling any Airdrop.

Seeing as there are so many airdrops coming out and 99% of them are a scam with very few being legitimate, I decided to create this list help noobs who have trouble differentiating the two. I would also like to say, if you are not sure about a project DO NOT INVEST! Please do not take my advice as investment advice either; I am just trying to help give people who are a little less experienced in the crypto world by providing a little more information.

I will create a list of scam airdrops and a small list of legitimate airdrops. Please feel free to comment so that we can add more to the list and make it as accurate as possible.

Scams:

Litecoin Classic [scam version: released about a week or two ago] - thread has been deleted for some reason

There are many more scummy airdrops but I don't have the time to check them all. Please feel free to comment any scams and I will add them.
