If you will ask me, it is better if you will just trade and withdraw it. For sure that the project that you invested is a shit project and it is the reason why it dropped so much. It is not bad to hope but the coin that you still holding is a shitcoin and it is better to let go of it and try to move on. Of course it is painful because you lost a lot of money but trust me, if you will become hungry to learn more; for sure you will able to regain all of your losses. Just treat it as a lesson in order for you to avoid same mistakes again.

You need to make sure that the project is legit and not some scam. I wish you luck with the recovery of funds because you will definitely recover it during bull season.

Keep trying to invest in this market with the remaining 4ETH. I believe that you will recover this loss soon and be careful with fomo, never join such projects because it's just a scammer. 
At the end of the day, it's still our decision. Last time I saw the ESH data, its ROI was still green but now it's negative. You will definitely lose if you buy it at a high price but it's not too late. There are only two options available to you, whether you will hold out because you trust the project or you will sell it to stop the loss if you think it will fall further.

Lesson number one, always invest your spare money or what you can really afford.
Lesson number two, don't chase projects blindly especially new projects because a good number of them can't be compared to the likes of ETH, therefore it is not worth it investing such amount in useless projects.
Lastly, you can still recover but this might depend on the type of project you actually invested in; there have been projects whose team went underground to work and the price drops badly then they came back with massive developments and the price spiked, however only few projects can achieve this and only possible too if the team are serious and hardworking. So, check how hardworking the team are and know if you will hold or not, if they aren't hardworking you can sell off and hold ETH, it's better counting your losses early and moving on than lossing everything.
that's why everyone always says research and research before investment because if we choose the wrong project it will experience the same thing as you, for now I can only advise you to be more careful, and I'm sure if you can return 10 eth never lost it in several projects that have the potential. good luck

Very sad for your loss never try to the projects which are dead and someone pumps it for a short time and then they dump your precious money as the coin again never pump.

Are you talking about ETH or ESH? The OP had mentioned ETH and you are talking about Switch (ESH). Ethereum is not doing well right now, due to multiple issues. The rollout of Ethereum 2.0 has been postponed multiple times. On the other hand, I don't have a very good opinion about ESH. It is a pure pump-and-dump coin, which is traded in just 3-4 exchanges.
