My fiance compiled the Alpha wallet since the one we originally downloaded was not working properly. I may have him share it if it's still needed. It would at least take the coin out of Cryptsy and hold it until another exchange decides to adopt it.

nobody here have ALF?
ALF is long dead, blockchain didn't move for weeks and my node only had 1 or 2 connections at most before I shut it down. It's gone for good, the coin needed an update anyway which nobody wanted to do.

Unfortunately retarget in Alphacoin does not deal with multipools which leads to diff jumping wildly and therefor the blockchain being stuck for days before some good soul throws in a few hundred MHs to get the blockchain moving again.
IMHO to survive, Alphacoin needs a revised difficulty adjustment formula very soon.

Is this coin alive or dead? I can still find it on the markets but let's say i'm denied about using mingw for compiling the wallet....

It seems alphacoin is dead!!!

Specifications:
- 30 seconds block target
- 4 confirms per transaction. So every transaction will be confirmed in 2 mins.

- To encorage early adoption the coins per block is high for the first 3 days (block time):

The wallet is syncing fine for me and the network looks good. Try restarting the wallet. The source code won't change unless a coin feature is added or a fork occurs. With some other coins I have had to backup wallet.dat and download the blocks again, you could try that if restarting does not work for you.

I used this coin to try solo mining, didn't get very far. There might still be some pools up or something...
