I go with DOGE for like stocking some coins it barely moves but stays at its price and have been here for a long time. ETH got a good future for traders with a big amount of bitcoin in their hands.

I'm a trader (but a newbie on this forum). I like Ðoge a lot since the low price ~45 satoshi now mean that one or two satoshis up is a large jump in percent. So when BTC jump up and down I trade Ðoge.

Just my 2ð

For me the best ones are:

 - SC
 - C2
 - ETH/DAO(current cyles are perfect for buy low-sell high)
 - DNOTE
 - DIEM(moving from 1 sat to 2 sat will mean 100% jump.. Grin)
 - MAID
 - DOGE (cheap)
 - XRP(long term benefits due to banks adopting it)
-Storj (similar to SC, but lending hard disk feature is really cool and their interface is also good. Will go live soon)

Cheers

That list sucks.
dao is dead
doge is dead
storj, really?

Nobody listen to this knob.

Nice list mate, I think the DAO now is having a hacking issue and the price has significantly down. I love to buy it now because it is very low and I am pretty sure this will recover as this is the most successful crowd funding for all crypto out their.

I would pick Gridcoin (GRC), as it is one of the more interesting coins out there. It's idea is brilliant but also easy to understand for people not in crypto before, see for example this thread that was on the frontpage of reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Futurology/comments/4b4drk/a_currency_minted_by_doing_science/t1_d16hch5

Gridcoin (GRC) replaces mining with doing research for scientific projects, for example to cure Ebola (http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/research/oet1/overview.do), fold proteins (https://boinc.bakerlab.org/) or find aliens (http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/).

From a user's point of view, he simply has to run simulations from the different projects using the BOINC software (http://boinc.berkeley.edu/). Then the network comes to a consensus, who has contributed how much computing power to BOINC, which can bee seen for example here (http://www.gridresearchcorp.com/gridcoin/?result&t=CPID_Leaderboard). This process is decentralized among all nodes, there is no central server issuing all coins like it is for example the case with Curecoin. In some blocks this consenus is saved in the blockchain and the reward one gets when staking a block is proportional to how much research was recently done for BOINC by this researcher.

Setting it all up has been quite complicated in the past, but the pool on pool.gridcoin.co has made alle this easier and already has more than 800 active miners/researchers (http://pool.gridcoin.co/rankings)

I also has very active development, here is the main forum: https://cryptocointalk.com/forum/464-gridcoin-grc/
More information and tutorial to set it up here: www.gridcoin.us

absolutely yes there's is  worth buying altcoins. those are litecoin, nem, nxt, ripple, rise, and waves. Smiley
That coins you have mentioned have a good potential in the future, in my case I love to buy altcoins and dump it later. Just like the waves and lisk, I particapated in the ICO and I have a made a good profit on the launch day. Really nice to be part of the ICO, for me, it is a guaranteed money.

ICo's are the best and are guaranteed money. I put a little in each one and then sell them right away in the first pump.
Right now im in LIR and DLisk, best ico's going on now in my opinion.

does dogecoin and litecoin have scope to grow?

Yes, btc and ltc is all you need.

I really disagree with this. Neither of them have solid dev' teams rather than just people who develop "for fun." ETH is falling right now and is in a good position to be scooped up for when it resurges.

Wmcoin is having real infrastructures, and currently it is very cheap at exchanges running for about 200 sat or less but the good news is that the infrastructures are being translated from Chinese to English, their fore  in a few moments all the services offered by wncoin will be in English like the games, sports betting wmcoin mall and the rest
Buy it while its cheap.

Can't go wrong with a small portion of NXT, it's insanely cheap. The roadmap plans reveal forward thinking, staying ahead of competition. The proven track record of development shines positive light on buying some coins in this great crypto gambling game of our time. Buying NXT now enables your participation in the NXT 2.0 project.

Litecoin has, but I'm not sure about the doge. But a few a few ago, price just kept on going down or stays stable at some point, but barely rises.

...

Well, Do you have a better suggestion?

There are loads of small coins with market caps <100btc. Many of them will increase many times over in the next year or two.

Buying cheap honest coins is better than patronizing ico scams.

Makes more sense to buy a cheap coin that could increase 100x than an expensive coin that probably will go down. If you randomly pick coins that have zero premine, an active dev and website etc and market cap under 50 btc you will probably do far better than buying ico coins.

Makes a lot of sense now. I find those 50 to 100 satoshis alts are growing even just for a 1-10 satoshis. If you buy millions then that would be a lot profit. I guess the question will always be, will you risk it?
