After Decred management team pulled a scam with miners, everyone knows this project governance is big sham.  Why did you invite to buy ASICs when you don't like miners? Roll Eyes You only like coinholder voting because you are the biggest coinholders (companyzero, Jake Yocom Piatt, Jonathan Zeppettini) since the premine.

Decred Governance is a sham to avoid accountability and evade their legal responsibility. No matter what public wants, the big insiders can use veto power. The master plan is clear for anyone with a brain:

Step 1 Premine 1.6M DCR coins
Step 2 Allow yourself (companyzero) to take unlimited money from treasury without public stakeholder approval
Step 3 Implement Coinjoin privacy to hide the whale holdings
Step 4 Make a fake "retirement" Announcement (and keep the controlling coins share)

Step 1-3 are done now, only step 4 remaining. Soon they will make a fake retirement post on Decred Blog. In truth, they will continue to control the project supply and governance.

The privacy feature hides the whale holdings now, but the public data since 2017 shows the insider whale holdings. Solo whale is holding 400,000 DCR tokens. Since they admitted not selling the premine to now, simple staking since 2017 means multiplying the holding by many times already. This is why there is many people who know about the 2 Million DCR to 3 million insider estimate as common knowledge.

Check yourself. This is from 2017:

You can see solo staking, and you can still verify the addresses in block explorer.

As nobody seems to have posted this:

Network Upgrade and Service Outage (Decred Mainnet):

Consensus changes were implemented on August 29, including a shift to BLAKE3 and ASERT algorithms, this had caused some mining issues initially, but these were resolved within 24 hours.
ASERT algorithm adjustment restored normal block production speed quickly.

Development:

Dcrd (Decred's full node implementation) update, now calculating difficulty every block.

Progress towards Ledger Integration:

Ledger enabled on mainnet.
DCRDEX module updated to v0.6.3 with new "extension mode" for wallet protection.

Updated VSP Fee Calculation and Missed Tickets:

Gominer development to address dominance by GPU miners, allowing anyone to mine with GPUs.

BLAKE3 GPU Mining:

Custom optimized BLAKE3 OpenCL kernel for GPU mining, CUDA support for overclocks and fan speed control on Nvidia cards.
Gominer aims to make GPU mining fairer and more accessible.

Other Changes (Dcrpool):

Build code updated to Go 1.21 and PostgreSQL 16.0.

Where can I find all lists of pos-staking pools?
on the dcrstats.com only 2 pools.

in Decredition, on the staking tab, in the Purchase Tickets window, there are about 18 of them  Wink

I remember earlier it was necessary to enter the API keys of the pool into the wallet.
Now, as I understand it, there is no need for this?

Some headnotes of Decred:
- value storage and transmission
- project-level consensus changes
- project-level budgeting
- privacy
- exchange
- project treasury

there's a lot more going on to be fair, but I do agree on the need of a new visual of the roadmap

Decred v1.7.0 "Based Bison" has now been released.
Everyone should upgrade their software at their earliest convenience to make sure they don't get left behind by the herd, and so we can begin voting as soon as possible.

I searched for a long time, but could not find any useful practical meaning of using this coin. Mining-voting-sale.

DEX  built into their wallet decred - that would be great! Especially working in SPV-mode.
Only the minimum amount for orders needs to be made insignificant, for example, 0.1 decred.

I must have missed something.
What does Bittrex exchange have to do with Decred dump?

Don't pay any attention to his ramblings, or just look at all his past posts for fun to see for yourself

As for the price of decred, it's quite typical. The coin has a dedicated, but small following unfortunately. It has its ups and downs relative to bitcoin, but ultimately doesn't seem able keep up with it, though it does OK in fiat terms.

Still I expect more upsides (wrt bitcoin always), particularly when bitcoin drops again or remains stable.

The best feature of this coin is the DEX which works really well. It's the only coin I can still trade 100% anonymously with near zero fees and with full custody control.

So these ups and downs are really just opportunities

agree on all points  -  how do you trade it 100% anonymously  ?

You must use the DEX. It matches buyers and sellers and executes atomic swaps directly on the chains with minimal fees. No KYC and no third parties.
The drawback is that currently, you need to be running full nodes on both coins as well as the DEX software which has a web interface to interact with. And also that minimum trade quantity is 40dcr.
I have a dedicated linux box for those things, but I understand this is more trouble that most people would put up with.
They say the next version will be more accessible and work with light nodes, maybe directly through decrediton.

The airdrop in the amount of 256 coins was in February 2016, if my memory serves me right.
Or there were other airdrops, what are you talking about?
I'm more worried about the fall in price, especially with regard to bitcoin.
