Most of altcoins will die. As in other areas, only a small percentage of projects/companies survive their first year. And taking into account that in crypto everything is moving faster, I guess project lifecycle can be greatly shorter than 1 year, something about 3-4 month, I think.
And I'm talking about normal projects, not scams or morons of different kind. And we have them in great number, and they don't have the slightest intention even to start real development. These projects die pretty fast.

Altcoin also use for online shopping, trading and for many other thing.
