Those who hold funds in altcoin should constantly shift them into newer and more promising coins, otherwise they will not be profitable.
I believe Blockchain technology and smart contracts can make a positive impact in near future. Cryptocurrencies have already revolutionalized some sectors. It is fraud proof. It prevents you from identity theft. So cryptocurrencies have already made positive impacts. I think some projects will still revolutionize the crypto world with new creativity and innovation. There are too many altcoins and crypto project, it's difficult to choose a good project. You have to find and select a project with good team and good project for good returns. A project with a prototype product and strong team have more chances of success. But many of coins lack these things and will eventually die. However strong projects will give positive returns.
There's many altcoin you need to choice the good investment. Some Altcoin has a good future but not all Altcoin are having a good future and some altcoin will survive and some will die and if you invest or buy a coins you need to choose a good altcoin and have a potential and more profitable.

The market will always follow what bitcoin does since it's the main pairing to all alts. Etherium is nice but it doesnt have as much volume as Bitcoin has. OH, you want to buy some xrp? gotta buy bitcoin first. Oh, you want to buy some trx? gotta buy some bitcoin first. etc.
And everytime you sell bitcoin into ur altcoin, theres also a buyer who just sold his altcoin for ur bitcoin. So if you want to break away from bitcoin in prices, you have to make more etheriums, more neos, more vens so ppl have more options to buy their altcoins.

The crypto market moves in cycles - and understanding these cycles is key to profiting. I think if bitcoin crashes everything will obviously fall. But if it crashes there would be that turning point to other altcoin.

I do feel the same. I think there is a reason behind this fall. Cryptocurrency face so many problem cause many people are starting to invest here and there is so many regulation a head that makes doubt fear and uncertainty.thankss😭
Perhaps regulations are what is necessary to boost confidence in Altcoins and to "uncorrelate" altcoins from BTC price action! What do you guys think about regulating altcoin industry? Would it help you to feel more confident in investing in a regulated altcoin?

Altcoins will continue to drop with all these forks and I don't think this year we will have impressive gains on any of them, Which means it's time for researching and buying into projects you believe in. Remember how huge the surge was this January compared to December. As things look right now, I'm expecting a similar scenario.
For now, the future of altcoin depends on us if we can choose the right altcoin it will be profitable and you can invest in the long term and you may have to wait longer to benefit from it and if you are still able you can buy other better altcoin
The future is dark for some altcoins. Bitcoin is still rising and it will go soon over 20k. Some altcoins will die because of this and some of them have a really bad project. I think that 95% of the altcoins are going to die in the near future, but there will coins come again.
If you diversify properly you can just hold every failing bag and not worry at all.

not only is Altcoin alone in decline. therefore you have to be patient. maybe the time you spend waiting to get more results, but I think you have to wait a little longer. and when your coin goes up, you can sell it and buy another coin that you think is pretty good. thankss😭

The altcoin is very profitable if you know how it works because there's a lot of altcoin thats very very profitlabe and there's a lot of altcoin that profitable but long hold. but i think if i had altcoin that i hold for too long maybe i just hold it then i invest to the other altcoin that short trade. thankss😭

It all depends on what kind of tokens you have. Most of the coins that came out in 2017 will die in 2018. But if you've invested in serious projects, then keep it.
