It’s hard to persuade those middle-aged people to invest in crypto. Do you think so?

Yes, they are, I have hard times, convincing my relatives to invest or study Cryptocurrency, but they cannot get the idea that you will be your own bank and everything depends on the combination of letter and numbers and that you can create money out of your computer, I just let them they are like Warren Buffet you cannot teach an old dog new tricks.

To tell you that truth, it's hard to persuade them and yet again it's not good to persuade them as well because you and I knows what the risks are, volatility and others, so it's quite better you don't persuade them. Also, I am not saying it's bad to involve someone's parents into crypto but however you need to do so with utmost carefulness through presenting them facts and figures about what makes the crypto space unique and why it's better for them to get involved and in all not overlooking the risks associated with it. When you do so, you will be rest assured that they will be willing to invest what they can afford while being in terms with the risks.
Crypto has come to stay, in as much as a lot of people are running from it, sooner than later they will come to terms with it, so that time is now.

It is not as easy as you said, invest in crypto. We are in billish matket and everybody make profit. You will see a lot of people lose their money when bear matket comes and many people panic sell. Our parent hard to understand because this is not their world. They understand to invest in real life and have real asset. Give them time and reference to read.

Well in my case I was able to convince my parents and some relatives to do so! They were not ready for the first time and they were like try to trade in front of us, show your assets and show the gains and losses proof you have incurred from this market. Then all I went to show them my portfolios from Binance and WazirX. Shown them how I earn from this forum and at the same time put some part of hard earned salary into altcoins and bitcoin strategically. I shown them the growth that I had over two to three years of period and they were ready for the whole stuff later on. Well, I had bonus by referring them and now they have mastered themselves to earn from the daily trades.
DOGE was the happy moment for them and they were truly thankful to me for that!  Grin

It’s hard to persuade those middle-aged people to invest in crypto. Do you think so?

I think one more reason the middle-aged people won't be excited about altcoins or fundamentally the crypto market is that it's too complicated for them.  Even if you ask them to go to binance, P2P to buy some ETH, ... I don't think it will convince them.  Middle-aged people, they have gone through the human life with a simple life, everyday tasks have become familiar.  It is difficult for them to change their mind about crypto.  Like you, if you are already passionate, crypto becomes a part of your life, the work you follow, if there is advice to give up crypto.  Definitely not and it cannot easily quit smoking.  Smiley)

Crypto is not popular in my homeland. People in my homeland love to invest stocks and bonds. And real estate is the most popular investment. Only few people invest in crypto. My dad loves to invest in stocks but he seldom has a positive net income from the stock market. It’s the fact that crypto is a better tool to earn money, especially for the Altcoin. Then., I try to persuade my dad to invest in Eth and BNB. They’re worth to invest. Take myself as a good example, I spent the weekly pocket money on my first Eth two years ago and earn more than 10X of money. It seems that Eth is still going up in the future. It’s a good investment during this economic recession period. I tried my very best to persuade my dad to buy Altcoin like Eth and BNB but he thought that crypto was very risky and unreliable at all. Investing in crypto is the best way to earn money in this economic recession. It means that my family loses the chance to become rich since my dad does not invest in crypto.

It has something to do with ignorance, your parents are traditional investors, Cryptocurrency is a new world for them they cannot keep up with it, your parents are not the only ones many people are like that, losing opportunities to invest in Cryptocurrency especially in the bull trend, it's up to you now, if you can invest and make a profit, you will give them a good example on how to make a profit investing in Cryptocurrency.

The first thing to do is educate parents about bitcoin and how to invest. because of course they are still new to investing. You must be able to introduce them to the uses and benefits of bitcoin itself before inviting them to invest. The limitations of parents in obtaining information and still having a mainstream mindset have made many refuse to be interested in investing . if they understand they will certainly be interested in buying

Bitcoin is easier to understand so you might want to start there instead of altcoins. Digital gold is easier to explain than smart contracts, defi, and NFT's. Then you can use bitcoin as a gateway to introduce them to other cryptocurrencies.

BNB and ETH are relatively safe investments but we have also seen ETH lose more than 50% of it's value during long bear cycles. This kind of volatility might make them hesitant to invest in any cryptocurrency.

We couldn't force or convince people to invest with cryptocurrency especially when they the big risk of investing in it. Your dad might have doubts since he doesn't know how to handle or deal with cryptocurrency. Elder people aren't into cryptocurrency because they have a different perspective when it comes to investment. They prefer the old type of investing because they could see more assurance in it.
Indeed, we cant coerce anyone to invest and believe in crypto as profitable because they have their own way of thinking and perspective on what could be the most beneficial.

For me, as long as I already introduce crypto and explain the advantage of investing then its up to them to decide if they will engage themselves. People older than us think they are much wiser but never thought that something online is profitable as investing in stocks or real estate. I guess they're just not familiar in this new technology thus they have doubts.

Your dad might be right that investing on crypto is very risky and he won't put his money there. You were lucky joining crypto at this time which a huge bull time, and choosing ETH and BNB is also a good choice since both of the coins have many future plans and a lot of big stable communities.
But don't rely too much in crypto, having a several type of investment will be good to have. I personally investing in crypto only with my "free money" which means money that i'm okay if i lose it.

I would not try to convince my parents to change their views and change their investment strategy. In my opinion, it would be better to arrange a friendly competition. Everyone invests the same amount. Parents are in traditional assets, and you are in crypto. At the end of each year, you can summarize which choice will be the best. Simultaneously with this competition, there will be a general diversification of risks within the family budget.

Generally it is not easy to persuade anyone to invest in cryptocurrency. People are skeptical and always suspicious of what they dont fully understand. So the first step to bringing people unto the cryptocurrency space is education.
You should focus on educating people about the blockchain, the technology behind cryptocurrencies, the advantages and benefits, and why decentralization is the future if the global economy.
If you can do this, then you wont need much of permission to get anyone to invest into cryptos

We just need to educate them as to what profit and income these coins can bring, but we also have to tell them the downside of it. Its understandable that other generation like our parents and the latest gen would find it difficult to navigate and trust as to what the cryptocurrency can offer.
Yes, that is the only possibility but I guess it will take a lot of time for making them getting aware of all the aspects of crypto currency. Even it is difficult I guess we must need to do that because that is the one way we can make them convinced so that we can invest into right opportunity before we are going to miss them out. I also have lost many opportunities just because of not cooperating from my family.

Just be patient, who knows maybe as altcoins get more recognized, your father might end up asking you about it and how he can start investing on it.
That was the exact thing happened to me. After bitcoin reaching $1.2k levels in 2013, my parents started showing interest in investing with bitcoins. Higher prices are always an attraction for everyone which helped me to convince my parents to get into crypto currency even that was late then times but now I feel lucky.

Some people having a hard time to understand how crypto works and how a person can relate in this industry. We cannot force them to invest, rather you can educate your parents that in this industry a lot of opportunities to earn or to grow their money. Just continue believing in crypto and continue educating them in time they will accept and understand how crypto works.

Well, you should atleast know that crypto is not the only way you can get rich in life. Respect your parent's decisions towards crypto but make sure first that you thoroughly discuss to them how things work for altcoins or bitcoin. Indeed, crypto is one of the easiest way you can become rich but it can also impose risk as it is also the fastest way to become broke or penniless. Be smart with the coins you are investing with, do not just simply go with the trend instead look it up yourself so that you wouldn't regret it in the end. Just be patient, who knows maybe as altcoins get more recognized, your father might end up asking you about it and how he can start investing on it.

Aim High! Bow Low!
We all have our own ideals regarding crypto But it is definitely Good nowadays with the surge of the virus going on and economics like in my country is going down. We just need to educate them as to what profit and income these coins can bring, but we also have to tell them the downside of it. Its understandable that other generation like our parents and the latest gen would find it difficult to navigate and trust as to what the cryptocurrency can offer.

back to the interests and results achieved, no matter how hard you make sure that people who are convinced do not respond, of course there will be no feedback we receive.
because some people, especially those who have already been supportive, supportive in bargaining and real estate, feel comfortable in the zone and to make new investments there is no need to return, as this has to do with the benefits and what they will receive after they develop.
It is only natural that they do not want to accept because they have never seen and experienced firsthand how to develop in crypto.
You are trying to show the results of your investment so far, starting from the initial investment and the profits you have made, maybe this will be a difference so that your parents are interested to investing in cryptocurrency.

Only few parents will agree to this new way of investment, i would say they believe more in the orthodox way of investment and are not willing to change their believe, cryptocurrency is a digital currency which can be a bit difficult to explain to the older folks, even some younger people of this generation are not easy to be convinced, i have tried to convinced some of my friends and family and it hasn't been easy at all, so am not surprise to see your parent aren't interested, so many people are still not sure about crypto.
