If you want to invest in alt coins under $1 for 2 to 3 years than you can invest in Ripple and NEM. Both the coins have great potential and will grow in the near future.

Probably better you list the coins with prices in that range and you do your own research on d fundamentals of the coin including what the project is looking to achieve and see if it makes sense and in line with your investment strategy

You kinda missed the momentum. 2 weeks ago I would've had several coins that were 1$, right now all those altcoins are 10$ or more. I'd say wait for the prices to stabilize a little and you will find some 1$ coins to invest into. I dont agree on such investments. Atleast invest in a coin worth 10$ so that if it goes down then even it has some worth. If 1$ coin goes down then it goes im pennies.
That's a poor analogy, regardless of price of a coin if the coin loses 10%, the person's holding loses 10% on their initial investment regardless of price whether its dollars or pennies. A coin going from $0.1 to $0.01 is the exact same as a coin going from $10 to $1 and both scenarios are just as likely or unlikely as the other.
there may be alt-coin at a price of $ 1 but the profit earned will also not be as big as we expected
I agree that investing in top coins is safer, but it seems to me that really big money can only be earned by participating in new projects. Those who are already in the top as a rule made x50 - x100. so you need to invest in young and promising projects such as the UserVice!
I recommend ALQO and SEMUX - both have big potential!

There are many good coins available which are below $1 price. i.e. XVG, RDD, DBD, GOLEM, RIPPLE. These all coins have big potential to go to moon any time.
Oyster Protocol, its unique idea regarding web storage. when it comes to price, yesterday it is below 10 cents today it reaches up to 31 cents and it is only been listed to only 2 exchanges ( kucoin and ether delta)
I have seen the graph when it was pumping up, it was crazy one. I think it hit around 45 cents then went down a bit. Idea is good and also listing at Kucoin was smart idea as Kucoin has a lot of big customers that invest those kind of projects.
I advise you to hold Nio (0.05$) and Datum (0.03$). Their products are almost ready and i expect success for them.

Check out Esper Coin, i put a bit of money into it a few days ago when it was @ 2~ sats and its already @ 3 sats, the volume of the coin has been increasing a lot recently so i think its bound for a breakout soon enough.
I think looking for a coin under x amount is an arbitrary process. If you're looking to invest in a coin that has huge upside potential then you should be looking at the market cap. Solaris is about 5$, but the total market cap of the project is about 4 millino $. With the innate value that project carries you might flip 100x over the next year.
