I would choose coins not for the price of a single unit but for the capitalization of the whole project.
Invest in Electroneum now before it is too late. The price might have already increased to two times of the starting price but it is not too lste to invest, it will be having a hardfork soon.
There a lot of tokens and coins, but i like platforms or something new, so this the coins that i bought to hold in my portfolio till the end of 2018

I think that the most promising coin, which now stands less than 1 dollar is NEM. This is a very good and reliable project that is developing rapidly.
I agree with you to invest in altcoin under $ 1 but not for the long term, I lose a lot of my money in long-term investments, I prefer short-term investments because the profits I get are enough
around 1 dollar, checkout zoin, potential for x50 !

I think you should not depend on altcoin price to invest in - But in its project , may be coin above 100$ and see huge increase in price - and I think NEO will be this coin and coin under 1 cent and will never see big increase in its price - I think as Dogecoin - but at all some coins which I think it may see huge increase in its price

Yes, I think you should do since in a smaller amount you can start investing which can help you to earn income even though it is small amount.
For me it is Stellar, it is like uparaded Ethereum. It will cost much more very soon
Just check ATH of every coin under 1 $ you want to invest and compare with current price,the bigger gap the better for investment,Ripple and Tron look promising 
It is foolish to look for a coin for investment based only on the current price, I believe that it is first of all necessary to look at the documents and the current capitalization of the token.
Go for COSS, Zilliqa, Centra - they were all under $1 yesterday.

i still recommend ada. its under 1$ but thats not the reason. its in development with a very promising roadmap.

There are many altcoins there where you can able to invest in it anytime you want Sir/Madam those are The key(TKY), Utk, Velix.id which is presently running their ico, then you can also try Hero(Play) which you can find it at coinbene.
So many coin under $1 and most of them are good to invest, but all i can suggest to you is buy some TRX, and XLM. These 2 coin have a good potential, hold it and the price will rise. Believe me
It is not correctly to assess price of coin. Because total supply of coins and total capitalization on market more important. NEM ans Stellar under 1$ for example, but total capitalization is huge
In my opinion there is two altcoins, that is very undervalued now. They are Zilliqa (ZIL) and SingularityNET (AGI). Good time to invest, while tokens still cheap.
