I heard that over 85% of crypto from over a few years ago has went to 0.  Is that true or false?

Can someone give me a list of the popular coins that were pretty well known that has went to 0?  The only one i know of is bitconnect.  All the other coins, they might have dropped to pennies but what coins has went straight to 0.
Over 80-90 percent coin will die in next 5-6 years. Only few coin could reach to the moon. This is the first syndrome of straight go to zero " volume is decrease". If don't support top exchange or only few low quality exchange listed.

That's true and funny enough many are on that path already which the team will be quick to blame the nature of the market. What surprises me is that, most team will lament on the nature of the market while others will be making headway; this is actually what sets most platforms aside from others. My candid advice is, if you are not sure of any altcoin don't bother investing, invest in only the one you have studied and believe in.. Altcoins are meant to bring alternative solutions but the reverse has been the case.

I think it's true, unfortunately most projects are created for manipulation and fraud, and do not solve any problems.

There are too many to mention, but I vividly remember a project called Viuly of which I have had a heavy bag of and luckily I decided to sell it almost at its peak (6 cents) and cash out a hefty amount. Now its worth is 0,000096 $ with zero daily volume, really a horror show for people who decided to hold it further.

We have seen the altcoin ETH market drop below $ 100 and some altcoins have decreased dramatically and then disappeared, only projects with developments over 2 years that still survive today.
If you have seen ethereum has ever reached $100 and what's your thought about that? As far as i know how long project still alive doesn't matter a lot right now and the situation can change anytime and just take a look at how verge becomes a crap coin after a few hacked cases that happened with verge's blockchain.
big coin doesn't mean if will always have a bright future but at least that gives more guarantee.
If people are talking about projects that are dying or reaching zero, I don’t think they are talking of ethereum, or projects that are within the top 50 in the coinmarket, because those are the coins that we still classify as altcoin, and the other projects below top 100, I don’t know what they are still doing in the market because with the rate at which they are declining, they are virtually almost going to zero already, and I would actually not want to believe that altcoin bull run can still do anything meaningful in the life of those projects.

Most big coin that are low now are just being affected by the little bear season that will be over, and I think when the altcoin season come, those projects will definitely come back to where they ought to have been if investors will not see it as an opportunity to dump them again after some increases.

I don't think it's true that 85% of altcoins are worthless but I agree that 85% of altcoins can become shitcoin. With more than 2000 altcoins, I think there will be intense competition to attract the attention of investors and I think many projects will fail

Indeed, most altcoins got delisted from everywhere before "getting the chance" to drop to 0.

One coin I've known from birth to end was HeavyCoin, HVC. Coinmarketcap still shows it as $0.000099 (but only if you Google it!), it's pretty close to 0.

I think many altcoins are similar to Bitconnect even though the method is different. Other Altcoins may not look like fraud but the developer team responsible for leaving the project is a form of fraud to investors because they only give empty promises

Quite right, I have witnessed many cryptocurrencies that at first stage had a huge daily trading volume and gradually this volume fell and now these cryptocurrencies simply died and 99% of these cryptocurrencies will never be seen again, so you should always check which cryptocurrencies you hold in your portfolio, because at any moment any cryptocurrency may just be at the bottom and will never come out of it again.

a lot of worries happened when ethereum was under $ 100, but at that time almost all altcoins experienced it. there are still many altcoins that have not been able to recover from their downturns, and of course investors have increasingly abandoned them. I don't think it's because Altcoin has been established for more than 2 years, but the project has good management so that it can survive until now

Many projects went from even 1$ to none value at all. The reason for this, is too much volatility. Even the project has good concept but it lacks proper handling or community support still it will not survive. Take notice a lot of huge ICOs of 2018 most of them have died out and resort to closure. Investors are the one will have a big lose here since they only putting eggs on it but not even hatching some golden rewards from it.

To be on safer side my advice to all investors is to play safe, we all know how bad these new projects are so don't expect too much from them, investing in good altcoins is a thing and investing in new good altcoins is another, id go for old altcoins if i were you and buying now is like taking the biggest advantage of the market right now

The coins might be considered as zero valuy if it's have been delisted from exchanges with trading volume and has no liquidity at all. BLZT I've bought it in early 2017, it was traded on bittrex, and now delisted and I lost all my investments in it.

True, many projects have survived because of developments of more than 2 years, so that tokens have survived in the market, even though the price is cheap, but lately I've seen many projects that die and disappear, and the tokens are also eliminated in market circulation, and this is certainly very alarming if in my opinion.

That's right, a lot of projects have died in the past year. As the market goes down, the marketcap has dropped by more than 80% at the beginning of 2019 and that's why most good projects die.
We can see 2018 as a historic year of dead projects.

A lot of bad projects have died due to scam or lack of management experience. such as BigBullion, ICO failed and did not have enough capital to continue living.
or have joking projects like BigBoobsCoin.
There have been too many bad projects dying in the past year due to the market going down and some other factors.

You can start your search by looking through the list at https://www.coinopsy.com/dead-coins/

This site lists a total of 600 such coins. Around 1,800 are given in deadcoins.com. But I am afraid that the real number is much higher. More than 10,000 different cryptocurrencies have been created since 2009 and anywhere from 50% to 80% of them are no longer actively traded. That would give a minimum of 5,000 dead coins, and a maximum of approx. 8,000 coins. If we include the coins that are no longer mined or included in any of the exchanges, then this number will rise further.

I have a lot of coins , and that turned into a zero , for example wemark , and shivom this coin very much it was worth after the IPO and now all is not traded on the exchanges , I think we should leave the coins at the right time.
