A lot of projects are dying every year, but I cannot remember any big coin that had a good trading volume, was listed on big exchanges, and dropped to zero at the moment. Maybe there were some bad altcoins with no volume, but not a big coin.

I heard that over 85% of crypto from over a few years ago has went to 0.  Is that true or false?

Can someone give me a list of the popular coins that were pretty well known that has went to 0?  The only one i know of is bitconnect.  All the other coins, they might have dropped to pennies but what coins has went straight to 0.

I can help you with many of those coins but the one I want to talk about for everyone to know is the coin called minexcoin. It went up to as high as 70$ and currently trading at 0.07$.  You can check this yourself on coinmarketcap: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/minexcoin/

it caused by minex is a scam project that created by the same person which was running another scam project in the past but OP can get all of the data about which coin was going to the almost zero alue and i got 100% decrease from its ATH through use https://messari.io/onchainfx
that was giving whole news about the technical data of any coin.

Talking with data is better than talking only based on what you hear. If there is data, maybe people will believe what you say even if the data is wrong. You convey this, then ask us to prove it. I think this is really unethical.

It's true and it's many to mention. Most of the new altcoins listed since 2018 has drastically dropped especially those with high completion on heir platforms.

You can start your search by looking through the list at https://www.coinopsy.com/dead-coins/

Hmmm.. The crypto space is really big. Before now I never knew there's a place one can get the list of dead coins. The only coin I know and has been mentioned by the poster is Bitconnect. Let me go through the link and see others for myself.

Not 85% in my opinion but many of the altcoins are worthless or there is no volume on those altcoins means almost dead. I received several altcoins and several listed on exchanges by the time and many of them are just worth of pennies now almost useless to hold: Paymon, Ebtc, Pext, Exrt, NOBS, & CIF.

85% though? It could be more. I have so many coins I've been holding since 2017 that have gone to zero dollars. Bitcoin red, BitWhite, hawala token, to name a few. There will have to be a really big announcement if the price is to start picking up soon

I also have a lot of coin which used to be of value to me that are just staying lifeless in my wallet, tokens such as OWN, NoBS and LOC. The sad part is that almost all these coins have no chance of becoming of value again.

It is very disheartening that some Altcoins has little or no value, that is probably because the team didn't do their underground work well or they were just after the short term profit.

I also know of DOVU coin. I put all my trust in that coin because of the sugar coated announcements from the team so I kept holding my tokens. Now my 260$ worth of tokens is worth not more than 2$. From the look of things, I doubt this coin could ever bounce back

That's true you can see many altcoins become $0 and looks dead because  there's no development on the project. Bitconnect is only one of them, if you want to see you can look another dead coin you can find at https://deadcoins.com/.

I have visited the https://deadcoins.com/ site. And after visiting the site I have found some coin which is now trading on binance and team is still working to develop the project. But on the site, its marks as Scam coin. One of them is Pundi X coin[ NPXS]. So really all the data is 100% accurate of this site?

do you think your side deadcoin is tied up with the developers and they have a whole business with this site, of course, minus that there is a coin there, but me and the dead coins were shot by me at x10-x100

I have not found any projects of which price has dropped to 0. I do not think that such project exists in the market when its price falls to zero. However I have found many projects dropping to penny in price. Some of them are WeAreSatoshi, empowr coin, ember coin, sprouts,  sub invest, 808Coin, StrongHands, Dix Asset.

if they are popular i dont think that their value will drop off to zero because they are popular and people will be buying them sooner or later  . most alts that i know are have a good value even they arent really popular but sometimes they can go down though not to the point that they will reach zero  .

there are literal coins that arent listed and they have a zero value . tokens are mainly the ones that its value can decrease until zero becuase most tokens are worthless  or have no real world usage  .

i believe your confusion comes from the fact that most people when they call a coin "dead" they don't mean its price falling down to absolute zero. which is probably what you have heard. they said 85% of the altcoins died not just dropped down to zero.
a dead coin is usually a coin that has no usage and no point to exist and has been falling ever since it was created. they usually had a high volume in a couple of days when they were created and then lost it and now have a volume less than 0.01BTC per day and a price less than 1 satoshi.
Yes, I think the Altcoin type like that is very much at the moment, they make ICOs but they never get Softcap, because marketing and teams are not attractive enough, so they force them to register in a small market, so their prices become very worthless.

A lot of projects turned out to be scam or useless and their coins has went to 0. However, I don’t think that 85% of the coins has went to 0.
The scammed projects that surface during the 2016 and 2017 where of scam projects than that of successful ones, with this most of these.coins went down to zero. Those coins I hold during the last bull run actually went down to zero, although they rae still kept inside my wallet.

The projects that fell simply died. I do not think that we can get any profit from these shitcoins (if somebody invested in them).
the worse thing is that these shitcoins will be appearing all the time, masking under the promising tokens. The best way to avoid this scam is to invest only in the most-trusted top-100 cryptocurrencies, and do not be in a hurry to sell them even when they fall a bit.

True. Most new tokens and coins in a few years will cost about 0. This is primarily due to the fact that the developers failed to implement their idea, which they planned to implement. Also, some projects were simply scammers and deceived their investors.
You're right, low skill level developer while running their project is really we can see as the reason. Also there are a few of them that disappear once his coin listed in an exchange. But what I see, scam is the most reason why a coin drop to 0 price.
