That way no sort of centralized power can alter with it.
and the transactions are secure and about as anon as you would want it to be.
DeepOnion is a good altcoin with Tor integration. It helps give an additional layer of privacy, when doing transactions making it ideal for everyday payments.
However, the competition for DeepOnion would be fierce as there are a wide array of anon coins in the market that have other anonymity features, and some even use Tor as well (like Verge does). It would need to keep up with development and innovation to help it stand among many anonymous cryptocurrencies.
Tor is one step towards privacy, but DeepOnion might need to integrate stealth addresses, or ZK-SNARKS as an additional privacy feature to make it better than ever.
But, despite everything, it seems that it will be an altcoin that will survive for many years to come.

This list has many of the most prominent altcoins in the market. While their existence in the long term might not be guaranteed, they could serve as an ideal investment to help your money grow as they gain traction over time.
Ethereum is the most solid altcoin in existence, being the second most largest cryptocurrency in market cap, leaving it next to Bitcoin. If it continues to grow in user adoption and value, it might become closer towards taking the pioneer cryptocurrency's place on the market. Of course, the odds for this to happen are very minimal but if this becomes a reality, then it will become a major change for the whole cryptocurrency market.
What's best is that ETH will be transitioning into PoS soon, making it an ideal investment while its still PoW, as once it changes its consensus algorithm, it may further rise in price.
By the way, Unobtanium looks interesting as it is a cryptocurrency with a very limited supply. If it manages to remain actively traded on the markets within the course of years, then it would become an ideal investment for the long term, making your capital grow the more its value rises. Just my thoughts
