Bitcoin, Ethereum and Monero.

Why? Because each of these did or still do something innovative to distinguish itself from others.

Still, you can make tons of money from the other coins if you buy low and sell high.

Please define the word "survive". Many call a low market cap asset dead, this is not the case whatsoever.

It's too early to predict about what the future will be for altcoins. This forum has witnessed many altcoins' success as well as witnessed many just vanish into oblivion.
Instead, why don't we invest in something which is relatively stable, like something from the top 50 altcoins and forgetting about the future of altcoins in long term perspective ?

Totally agree. The underlying project must offer either innovations or be based on sth already working, for example this new ICO will invest funds in private equity - https://finles.capital/white-paper.pdf. Thus, it’s both – innovations for ICOs and stability of the investment targets.

yeah,I'm also looking at them and talking to the team at their channel https://t.me/FNDCoins

Yes, if you mean which newbie altcoins will survive in the future, then there arent too many that will survive.
For sure, i think that Waves is here to stay, same as Neo and IOTA
I really think those coins will have a success and will stay here for a long long time (maybe forever)
But if you ask for the strong altcoins, then the answer is easy, Ethereum, Monero, Litecoin And Ripple, but who knows?

It does not matter it is old coins or new coin coins, if they do not at all offer interesting innovations and not much change they make, their future will be worse than now.

Basically soany new Altcoins are barely surviving.
Ethereum is fluctuating badly, so as others.
When looking for a new Altcoin that can 'survive' , you need to check the development and the feasibility of that coin.
Most coins will after ICO make a good start and later dewindle.
Others like: Waves, Ripple, Litecoin and Dogecoin are okay.

This. Because you can use any language to deploy an app on this platform. So much of the decentralised future will be on here.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/new-xby-ann-xtrabytes-because-the-blockchain-can-be-better-1864397

This altcoin looks very interesting. Xtrabytes with its modular blockchain application platform, can be quite revolutionary if it gains enough traction. Since you can use any language to deploy smart contracts, it will become a much more flexible solution for mainstream developers to create apps that run on the blockchain.

Therefore, this altcoin can be worth investing for the long term, to see how successful it will become by then. If enough popularity, and mainstream usage surrounds it, then it could reach new heights in price and market cap.

Things aside, other altcoins which are worth looking into are IOTA amd XMR. IOTA provides a revolutionary ledger technology which allows low fees, and fast transactions for interconnected devices in the IoT space. It's underlying tech is called Tangle, and it may help IOTA rise in price over the long term if it gains traction from mainstream usage in IoT devices. Finally, there's XMR which has been an old anon coin in crypto land, but has managed to increase in value over the course of years. Now, it has been around the $100 range, and it may rise further as time goes by, making it a great investment for the long term. Just my thoughts Grin

Obviously, ETH is on top of that but others might survive as well like doge, ripple, litecoin, etc. Although they can't overtake btc, atleast they will manage to survive like their father in the near future. That's the most important here.

Many alt can survive or be good to stay were there are at the moment. Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Monero, Zcash, Ripple are just some of many that survive over the many fall and down, both in price and supply. Many will try to watch BitcoinCash for upcoming period but think that this will be only for this year after that he will come to some  value that is around many of mentioned coin.

Based on what it has been seen among the wide array of altcoins such as development, innovation, and security issues, what altcoins might survive in the future?

In my opinion, I think that the only ones prone to survive would be good old altcoins such as Litecoin and Dogecoin, but I may be wrong.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this as well as any altcoin that might be worth holding onto for the long term.  Grin

I think those altcoins eho are successful today will survive the future but we cannot say maybe others may survive. Vut I can say that ethereum litecoins and poloniex will survive because look at their value it is not that bad they might drops but there will be a lot of numbers before they become zero. So they can still survive to the future maybe they can still cope up and regain their value.

A strong coin that might survive in the future is waves. The devs doing a good job an the team is very good at marketing. They also going to build a wallet for the Russian coin, that Putin wants to create.

They are going to update their dex exchange in the next time and i think after that waves will be one of the best coins with a dex exchange Smiley
