It's only a matter of time that it's under a dollar. There are garbage projects in 100 dollars, very good projects under a dollar.
Stellar, Cardano and Zilliqa are similar to the three most promising and rapidly developing projects. Therefore, you can now safely invest in these coins and expect a profit.
Altcoins is very beneficial for investors. First of all observe the market and current price, and also keep in mind ICO price. And then this all depends on quantity of tokens which you have.
VeChain will be 3 cents soon (after mainnet). But the again. Price per coin doesn't matter at all. Its all about the value of the market cap!
The statistics you have laid down is amazing and very true in terms of the potential profit one can get from such investment. However, I think one other factor should be considered and that is the marketcap of the coin since it has a huge impact in terms of the rise of the value of the coin
tron just bought out bittorrent which can be huge down the line with using there coin, may be bullish on them soon.

for altcoin under $1, you can choose more than 5 altcoin and don't choose until 10 altcoin because this will makes you confuse to check one by one unless you have skills that will allow you to check with a fast check. maybe you can take a look with top 50 coin list in the coinmarketcap and I think you will find more than 5 altcoins. ripple, nxt, str, ada, trx, stq, xem, still in under $1 so you might take a look with that coins.
Power ledger and Block array i would get.Small market cap and both are very promissing projects with lots of action from the team
Oh, I love Power Ledger also. Besides it, there is an altcoin that is my favorite - TRON. After this alt, I trust also Napoleon X, Gladius, Ethlend, Crypterium, and KickCoin (KICK). I am going to buy many of them.

Does anyone here have an opinion of altoins that are under $1 that are worth investing? Because the lower it is, the more X amount you can.
For example if a coin is 10 cents and say you buy 10000 of them, thats 1000 USD. If this coin goes up to 1 dollar, that is 10x your money or 10000. Now if it goes up to 10 dollars, that would be 100x.
The thing is if you get a coin for 10 cents, how much can you really lose? Because no coin goes to 0 right? I mean it might go down to 0.002 etc if it does? But if it goes from 10 cents to 15 cents, thats 50 percent your investment which is huge. The thing is people say invest in bitcoin. But the issue is look at the price. Its around 4000 usd for a btc. Let say you buy 1 btc. If it goes up to 5000 usd, yes you make 1000 usd. But if a coin is 10 cents and you buy say 50000 of them for 5000, well it going up to 12 cents would make you the same money as compared with btc.
How many coins has went all the way down to say 0.01 or less that was at 1 dollar at one point?
How many coins has went from less than say 25 cents or less and at least doubled VS dropped more than 1/2 the price? That is what im very curious at. Now if a coin is at 0.002 etc and stays around there thats not much about it. But it seems like coins under 1 dollar that shows potential if you look at the chart seems like a good idea? Since there is so much you could make? For example if there is a coin that is 10 cents and people talk good about it... that seems like a better idea than buying btc right for say 5k? Like i think it would be better to buy 50000 of a coin at 10 cent than 5000 usd worth of btc. Because that coin only has to increase 2 cents compared to btc increasing 1000 usd though someone here says thats not how you should look at it etc.

If its cheap it does not mean it have bigger chance to go up . You need to look circulation supply , total supply and many other factors . Lets say if 1 coin got Circulating supply 100 Billion Coins and it cost 0.01 Cents . So to get this coin to 1$ it should have marketcap of 100 Billion USD$ .Which means that this coin should be TOP2 under Bitcoin . But my suggestion for choosing Coin/Token would be Hive Project(HVN) and InsurePal(IPL) . Both Longterm
I would say po.et. POE have a nice team behind them and also have a nice community.
The project is nice and its now cheap to invest in them. There is also rumors of Elon Musk and the same idea and they try to contact them about poe.

there are a lot of altcoins under one dollar at the moment, but the problem is that we can not choose all of them, literally, there are millions of them.
Dogecoin, Ripple, Dragonchain,QSP, LINK, QLINK, came on, there are severals of them.

Not going to comment on some of the coins recommended here as some of them have no development team, functional roadmap, or product. Some have white papers that have been proven to be plagiarized. But I digress.
My recommendation right now which I’m incredibly bullish on is ACAT.
It’s roughly $.01 right now which is amazing given:
1. Legit development team including filed patents
2. Active 2018-19 roadmap with some nice deliverables as early as Q3 and measurable results to date
3. No ICO, sold out in private sale. Shows demand was high, investors recognize the value here.
4. Project is developing a financial AI tool to help predict crypto price movements. Will have marketplace full of financial products for traders. Beta testing each month with latest round showing 60%+ accuracy (that should grab your attention).
5. Active social media including twitter, telegram, etc.
6. Just hit exchanges in the last couple months, sleeper coin since it’s only on kukoin, hitbtc, and switcheo but expect it to be rolled out
7. It’s not an ERC20 but one of the first NEP-5 tokens built on NEO. Given where we are with NEO, I consider this to be a bullish early adopter signal similar to some of the first tokens on ETH which are now some of the most valuable.

Less than $1 coin which has good potential are Ripple, NEM, Electonium and Tether. These coins always be on the top of the list in ranking compared to all the 1000+ crypto coins in the market. These coins not only have good potential, rather they have good market cap and their price are growing in a good trend. The team behind that also drives these coins to the next level.
XTRABYTES (XBY) is definitely worth investing IMO. Still cheap.

How long do you intend to hold these coins for? And may I ask, how much are you investing per coin? There are lot of coins that you have your toes in 
How long depends on the coin performance. The list changes constantly.
These are just the "cheap" coins
...I have around $20,000 on these.Like many, I speculate.
Between VEN, REQ and EMC2 I made all my money back (and more). Got lucky selling them at their high.
I consolidated and from the posted list, I only hold VEN, REQ and RPX now. The rest were all sold/reinvested.
