There is so much under $1 at the moment. ADA, XLR, ARDR, BTM, ACT, CVC, QSP, ZIL

I doubt that anyone can answer your question. I believe in Ripple, VoteCoin and some tokens. May be you need to trade on pair BTC/USDT? I think in short period of time it is the best way to improve you state with real money.

I think XRP have a potential to pump up it value this month. Now the trade value of XRP is 0.96 $ and this is the right time to invest money on it because the chance to increase it value in the short period of time is huge and this coin will give an opportunity to gain profit.
This is only my opinion to you and there are many choices in coin market to be buy as investment.
XLM or stellar is an altcoin under $1 and it is very promising. I will buy stellar this month.
To make profit in cryptocurrency market, i think not depend on the price of that coin but depend on the strong fundamental. If you want to make big profit in short time and looking for some coin/token that has good fundamental and the price below $1 these token could be these one : Bitdegree, Utrust and Appcoin.

actually i'm not so interested in coins that have a price below 1 $ because it just tends to waste time without any significant price increases.. but if we buy in large quantities,, a slight price increase will be felt and may be able to provide a fairly large profit.. but still ETH is a potentially big coin
COSS is under $1 right now, it's a smart contract powered profit-sharing token from the fees collected via the COSS exchange and other related future products. It's really promising IMO.

If it exist trillions of coins, then the price is probably less than a dollar per coin. If it’s 0.5$ per coin or 50.000$ per coin, does not matter.

If you can't afford losing money, you mustn't invest in any coin...that's the first rule. "Only invest what you can lose".
An option is to make bounties, airdrops, even faucets if you have a lot of time... and when you have earned little ether this way, then you can think about investing.

If we talk about short term profit, I think it wasn't short but it is for long term or if the price increase then you have it a short of term profit. By the way I will not suggest any coins but rather I would rather suggest take a look in marketcap.
