Take a look at ADA, it had a great pump this last few weeks and is still continuing to rise. I think it will be up some more in January so go for it. You won't regret anything.

for me i dont like coins with price less than $1 because most of Most of them fail in the future ,i think powr ledger and nxt are likely to pump in 2018 ,
I fully agree with this. It is unlikely that altcoins are less than a dollar, they will be able to hit the market with their own rate.

Most coins that are under $1 is not going to do that well if Bitcoin gets pumped then dumped, so invest with caution.It doesn't matter if coin is under 1 dollar if it already has a huge market cap. I would like to introduce LeviarCoin, their coin is after a "pump", but market cap below 3 million dollars is a good entry point if you ask me. They have a release of a new wallet today, it is a privacy coin with max supply of 54 million tokens and right now there are not even 11 millions, but it is very risky as everything in crypto world, so if you can't afford to lose everything, you shouldn't be involved in trading of cryptocurrency.
Everything is risky in the crypto world just like you have rightly pointed out. And a whole lot of this below $1 coins might have been forgotten by the developers that they have move to other projects to make more money which is now being controlled by some set of people by virtue of pump and dump which eventually might make exchange sites starts delisting and the that happens, you are already losing no matter how small the stake you hold in that coin. Speaking from experience though.
