That's incorrect buddy because bitcoin has been dominant the crypto market right from the get-go and it dominance level was not what prevents altcoin from surging cause if its dominance prevents altcoin from growing it halving won't have to make altcoin market surge.
Meanwhile, the decision of arbitrage is what determine the altcoin trend and this is the reason why some people said altcoin market are highly manipulated.

It's not about Bitcoin's domination, but about investors regaining confidence in the entire cryptocurrency market. When the situation calms down and positive news comes from the world, the bull run will come for the Bitcoin price and the altseason will start.

It actually a vice-versa circumstance but the bitcoin dominance level does dictate an impact of what momentum the altcoin market will drift to, although most of this strategy is played and carried out by the arbitrage traders.

Indeed and i think that this was some mistakes most of people think specially to the new ones, they are depending their prediction with bitcoin's price movement alone which can cause to missing good opportunities but as far as i can see i don't expect to experience altseason anytime soon but aside from the halving this year some companies also consider crypto in their projects like samsung which can positively affect altcoins.

Youre wrong cause the increase in the market volume wont be the reason for altcoin season to arrive because some slightly surge will occur for days in the bitcoin market which later give investors more confidence about the market follow by rally will make the increase in the market volume you said to happen.

I did not seen any big move in the alt coin market last year, the bitcoin market rallied a lot last year from the bottom and almost looked like we might cross the all time valuation before the halving but then it slowed down but the rally was really promising for bitcoin investors but i did not see the same kind of movement in any other coin, yes ETH has risen from below $45 but then the movement was focused on bitcoin and the top coins move alongside in a quite manner and that will continue when we have a rally in bitcoin again.

Many people wait for alt season because they own many alts, its natural to have faith in your assets, to be optimistic with your holdings. I think every person on this forum have a bag with alts, from the ones that are under a cent to the ones at the top. I am positive about future of crypto, and I strongly believe that alt season will come eventually, of course we can't know when will it happen and which alts will go up, so it's on us to try to predict that and fill our bags with the right coins.

Looking for advertising deal

Many coins have hypothetically reached bottoms but will people be interested in literally all market when rally comes? or is it gonna be just some big coins and the rest will remain pump/dump small cap niche. Think this is the most important thing to realize, cos some coins experienced pretty steady growth throughout 2019 and their season kinda started long ago.

This idea would be non specific for whatever date it is for altcoins season to come. For ATH, I do hope this 2020 will have a good outlook for cryptocurrency. We're not only referring to bitcoin all alone but the entire world of cryptocurrency. Let's regain cryptocurrency's reputation and prove to the world that it's not dead yet, but potentially booming soon.

It has been true in the past that once BTC price rises stop and level out, alts take over and an 'alt season' occurs, but this doesn't mean it happens every time.

Market sentiment is a key factor. BTC may have risen a bit recently, but this has been a recovery from previous drops. What we need to trigger alt season is a sustained BTC price rise so that market confidence returns. You are not going to get an alt bull whilst confidence is this low. People will either move out of crypto altogether or else remain in the (relatively) safe haven of BTC.
