It happened to me not just once but so many times. I've thought of the same as if it only happens to me but I've seen other folks too that it also happened to them and just make fun of it as if we're unlucky. I've lost a huge amount of profit when I've sold earlier although it's already a profit to me if I've just waited for a few days and weeks, I have made more than thrice when I've sold but that's it. I guess when we sell, let's just anticipate that it's going to go up and there's no regret and recalling that time when we sold.
When we sell our coins at a high price and already make a profit, that is already the best we can get. the most important thing is not how high you can sell, but how consistently you sell and make a profit. because some people will just panic when the price starts to fall and become Fomo when the price goes up.
Strategy is really needed, so you will know where to sell and at what price to buy.
Don't feel sorry for selling early.
While this seems like the correct way to go about this it is inevitable that something like this happened, after all the whole purpose of trading and investing is to obtain the most benefits you can, so even if you sell for huge profits if you could have obtained more money than that then it makes sense that you are not comfortable with the result as this means that whatever strategy that you are using still has room to be improved and it is something you need to do, so something like this does not happen again.
You wouldnt really be that comfortable and it would really be just a normal reaction for a person to have because we do always aim for more money and missing out even a buck would give out
that kind of feeling which would really frustrate us.

This market could really give out that kind of emotion from the time we do sell off and the price had suddenly rose up after that.We would really be having in mind if we had
able to wait a little bit more then we do able to make more profits.

Be contented on what you gained.

You are right but it's not just about being good at selling and consistently do that but as well as being good at buying too. Since you're talking about being consistent in selling and making a profit, it's also giving you the proper time of buying during the corrections and be also consistent in doing that. It is coming to me sometimes that I do regret selling and feeling sorry about that whenever I remember it but it's already done and I cannot go back to what I've done before and that's why I'm making things correctly.

Base on my experience it happens to me because last time when I sold most of my bitcoin at the price of 22k if I'm not mistaken I sold it already because the price going down and after that day the price surge coming up and went to the 40k mark value which is one of my biggest regrets well why trading skills with reading charts that time is not fully developed and that mistake gives me a lesson na if you can hold as you can there's a chance you can get more profit. The higher the risk the higher the reward.

As the title says, does it happen with you as well? Or just it has been happening with me? Not most of the time, but every time it has been happening with me. Although I sold my holding in profits somehow after sold it start to pump more and more. It's not happening with altcoin only. It's happening also in the Bitcoin trade. I do not regret but it's somehow surprising to me. Either I don't have enough patience or I don't have enough experience.

Does it happen with you? Or just it's happening with me?
This have happened to me alot of times, I've missed out on a lot of profits due to this same issue, but right now, I've learnt from that experience and am never allowing such to happen to me again..

But how can we possibly prevent this from happening when we sure lack the power to actually tell what happens after selling?

1 is to set a realistic sell target price for yours self and discipline yourself not to sell below your set target price, even if it's taking like a year, 2 or 3 to hit, as long as you trust the project you invested in, keep holding

2 is ones your sell target is reached, see if the coin still have strength to go up more, if yes,, then keep holding, but if not, then sell and if possible, delete every thing about that coin and proceed to the next one.
As said above, there are many people who have felt at times that they sold right before a pump - we've all been there, but as discussed above the best we can do is learn from past mistakes and continue to improve.

Studying the past might make you realise where you went wrong, what you read wrong and help you build that confidence so that when you do sell you are content.

Let's face it, we can't always catch the top of every investment but it's the average that counts Wink

Maybe not only you, many people are good at buying but fail to sell. What I mean is to sell at a price that is not maximized. Some of the friends above have suggested selling gradually is good, at least you take your capital first, it's already very good.
Of course, in trading there are several ways to maximize your sales, one of them is with Fibonanci. That will give you a little clue in which area you are selling. But there are people who think you have sold and made a profit it is much better than having to lose.
The truth is that no one really knows when the price is going to stop going up and it is the right moment to sell so at some point you need to take the risk and decide this is when I'm going to sell, and sometimes you are going to be wrong and the price is going to keep going up and sometimes you are going to be right and you are going to sell roughly when the price reached its maximum value, what you need to do is to implement a strategy that helps you get back into the market when your decision is wrong.

It doesn’t happen to me all the time, but it does happen to me. If you’re steady trading cryptocurrencies, in one time or the other you must have experienced that. There are even times the price will pump very well, and I might decide to sell a day after, because I don’t need the money immediately, and when the day comes for me to sell it I will see that the values has decreased again. Then there are also times when I will sell and the market will pump like you have described here. And then there are also times when I will sell at the highest value for that time.

Yeah this reminds me of selling almost $2k worth of ETH to a friend of mine for cash on hand for him to start purchasing Axies. However a few days later, ETH’s price skyrocketed from $2k to $3k+ and I had nothing but regrets.

I could have guided him to use Binance P2P instead of me selling my own holdings lol. Anyways, it is what it is, and I just have to move forward.

Yeah,I have lot of experience. The same thing happened a lof of time of me.Some times my decision was impatience. Bit patience is key to trading or holding. When you start trading or holding then you need to more patience. You also need to wait what you expect for holding or trading.Ig want to get profit then Don't worry just you need to keep patience.

This happened to me too, and I think almost all traders or holders have experienced this, luckily you don't regret the decisions that have been made because regret can make us make wrong decisions in the future.
If the result is still a profit, I think that's what we deserve, the result of holding it for some time.
Especially for Altcoins, usually I will no longer check price movements if I have sold it, not all Altcoins only for what are commonly called shitcoins because hold longer to expect higher profits is not wise because of volatile crypto market conditions that may change in just one night

In trading, I think this is a natural occurrence and surely everyone often experiences something like this, after selling... at that moment it will definitely increase, but that's only for a while and then it will go down again.
Regarding this, we don't need to regret it, we are here really playing with fluctuations that are so sensitive to changes in price movements.

you are not alone, most traders have also experienced it..... after selling the price increased many times,,, but if you hold it the price will go down... It's annoying to see things like this... regret comes as if to congratulate you on impatience.. keep the spirit of patience it is indeed bitter, but the fruit is sweet..

That’s not something we can call as coincidence. If you are getting this type of trade all the time then you should reconsider the way you are making daily trades. Sometimes, it’s our methods which do not match up with current market. This you need to improvise and try to set up excellent exit strategy. After all trading is about at what price you enter and at what price you make exit. It’s never about pump or how much pump, it’s about whether you are in profits or not. If you sell in profits then you should not worry about the next pump.

You always have to be in sales to trade. You will have a small profit when trading and then you have to leave that order.Remember that cryptocurrency trading can be expected to catch you big. If you do big business, you will lose.Do not hold, especially when captive trading. You feel huge when the price goes down to hold.

You are legendary, and I guess this is something that happens many times with many people who are here for years! So not once or twice, it's like many times... just after selling and thinking this is the top, we see another bullish trend and push to some higher prices! And not just that, there is the opposite thing that happens... I buy with thinking it's the bottom, but the price goes down more, I buy again and the price drops again!

I think this is crypto, and this thing happens all the time to us who are active in crypto for years! Nothing strange, it's why I try to have a stash on both crypto and fiat sides when I make a mistake to be able to do something else!

The OP was satisfied with the profits he gained from the coin trade. This is the most important point here. Perhaps he didn't want to be an ultimate winner. In this case, FOMO should be avoided, although it can be psychologically difficult. Every successful trader must remain calm in these situations.

Sometimes I also make blunders by selling my tokens too early or buying stablecoins too late, but I try my best to predict market trends correctly. I even can to take a pause from trading for a couple of weeks, but I never completely rely on technical analysis.

Anyway, most of my funds are in cold wallets, so I trade some of my coins. I gain experience and learn a new financial lesson almost every month.
That's a very difficult thing, it's not easy and it takes time to do that, I personally feel like there is a good chance we may not end up with the "optimum" profit each time, I can't predict the absolute bottom on each bear, and can't predict the absolute peak on each increase as well, it is just not possible and I do not think that it would be possible in the long run neither.

So, what do I do? I buy it when I feel like it is gone down enough, sometimes it goes down even more but that's fine, and sell when I believe it's gone up enough, haven't sold my bitcoins in a long time but I have at least tried it as best as I could when I was trading, surely it did go up some more later on most of the time. It's okay to not make the 100% maximum possible profit each time, as long as you profiting that's fine, important thing is to keep on grinding it.

This happened to me one time and I don't need that that thing to at any point happen again in light of the fact that I passed up benefit. A circumstance where you would have sell then, at that point come a siphon all of a sudden! I think this isn't a sign that one doesn't have the foggiest idea what ought to be done, as far as I might be concerned, it is only a simple occurrence and the amazing element in digital money.
