It's the same story for the most of us. To be honest, the same thing happened with me today.
I had sold some Solana coins a few days ago when the price was at around $40.
I thought that the price would decrease and I can buy back more to accumulate more number of coins.
Little did I know the price would pump to an ATH today. I kept waiting for a dip but the price kept rising up.
I know it's a terrible feeling but we don't have any choice other than to accept the fact and move on.

It happens to me either. after buying price starts falling and after the selling price starts to climb.
But the thing is if we have bought at low and sold at a high price and we are in good profit then it doesn't matter if that coin is pumping or dumping.

we should only be concerned about our profit and loss if your coin's price is still rising then do some quick research. Check that coin's social media If the price of the coin increasing because of some good news then it is ok you can buy it again else forget it and search for a new coin

if you are only concern about the profit in USD, you can forget about the coins you dump. but for most of those who trade are concern about stacking satoshis on their wallet in which they are accumulating and for them, there is the need to buy back when the dip happens. once the price speeds up instead after they sold, then they are burned.

i was trying to get more doge a few months ago. i sold my stash thinking it will dip later on but the price went 0.72. that's thousands lost instead of profiting more.  it happens to everyone i guess.

Why do this often happen? What because we always feel less continued? Even though we actually get high profits. But because prices continue to soar, we feel a little disappointed and regret being sold first.
But the good news, at least we have taken profit in a certain number and maybe it's a big nominal.
As a trader, if you still have that feeling, I think it's not professional. if the target has been achieved and the market bounced back, I think forget it, after all we have made a profit according to the portion we planned. a person like that is the same as if he floats minus and is left alone, and finally the minus gets bigger, and he thinks why didn't I do a cutloss earlier
Many traders will not sell the coin if they have that feeling but I guess that is not a pure feeling and maybe that is greed that comes to us and tells us to wait for more. That makes traders still hold the coin and not decide to sell at the peak price.

People like that will not make any profit because they always want to make a bigger profit while not seeing if the price does not always stay at a higher price for some time. If they know the situation, they will take profit and not hold it because they can profit while still having time to sell.

As the title says, does it happen with you as well? Or just it has been happening with me? Not most of the time, but every time it has been happening with me. Although I sold my holding in profits somehow after sold it start to pump more and more. It's not happening with altcoin only. It's happening also in the Bitcoin trade. I do not regret but it's somehow surprising to me. Either I don't have enough patience or I don't have enough experience.

Does it happen with you? Or just it's happening with me?

I think everyone here experience the same with you and even me. We do not hold the market and , our prediction always not perfect but be glad if you earn profit even after you sold, you saw the price keep on increasing. That we called "don't be Greedy" as long as you take profit that is fine. Regrets always there of course but for me gaining small profit is better than losses.
yeah, gaining a small profit was not our preferred, we wanted more but sometimes the market isn't favorable to us, and losing those chances is a great loss for me. So, I've practice myself to think to give some importance to every opportunity I have, and generating a small profit was still good enough at least we are not losing any.

Greediness leads us to something we have to regret. I once suffered such a thing and I realize that was wrong. Changing our mindset leads to something even better than before and I think that is what we need to practice and making it a habit.

This kind of thinking is needed by a novice or professional trader. Because if you are not satisfied with the benefits that have been obtained and are too greedy, it will not be good for investment in the future. Too greedy will have a bad impact. profit a little but often it's better than having to wait for the price to be too high and can't be reached.
I even often experience when the price that I thought was already high turned out to be very low. there are no regrets when it sells well and makes a profit. do take profit gradually it can be an option, so not all in one price.

this is normal to happen, worse, more painful Is precisely to happen that whenever a person buys a certain altcoin after the price drops a lot, this is the part that is most painful, in your case at least you always end up with some profit, me too I've been experiencing the same thing that you go through, of course there are times when I also buy and then the price drops and I even think that it seems that the price keeps doing it on purpose only to drop when I buy

Often times I experience the same thing as you, I also when I sold my ownership with a pretty decent profit but after a while the price was pumped again and this always happened when the coin I chose, maybe because I was impatient and saw the profit in front of my eyes so I felt I also wanted to sell at the current price, but I'm sure there have been many situations like this, even I asked other merchant friends, they felt it too, so the conclusion was that it was too early to sell and there was no patience to wait any longer.
But while waiting, sometimes there is a fear of tokens going down again, so they don't want to take the risk when they sell the same profit.

It usually happens to me also on my previous trades on both altcoins and btc. Having a desire to earn money quickly, I failed to initiate long term holding so selling was my last options to do. Though we earned enough, we can't deny on ourselves that we've been having regrets upon seeing pumps on btc after dumping our asset.

I think this has happened to everyone at some point during their careers as investors or traders and it does not matter how much experience you have it is always difficult to deal with as you begin to second guess yourself and your system, however as long as this was part of a well defined strategy that you know can give you success then there is nothing to do except to accept the outcome regardless of how difficult it may be for us to accept that we sold our coins too early.
Yes,theres no exemption into this one which definitely all people who had engaged into this market had able to experience on selling too early on where it did result on missing out more profits as the price had climb up even more.

Even with Bitcoin where i do make out some active trades and not really going for long swing trades which  does need for me to wait up for  too long.Im  not really that patient when it comes to waiting time.
Selling out coins is someones preference but it cant be avoided that we do mind off that even if we do profit but still we do regret on why we had sell too early.

We  should think that its still a  good call because what if the price had dumped down after you sold your tokens? For sure you would say its a good call.

It has happened to me too, a few times. There are times that I would decide to sell my coins and that day I would want to sell my coins would be the day the market would go down and after I have sold my coins, the market will pump. It happens to a lot of people, but what I did was that I stopped selling when the market goes down.

If I had plans to sell my coins and eventually the market goes down, I wouldn’t sell it again, I would leave it and wait for the right time to sell it. Although there are lots of things I do consider before taking this decision, because sometimes it’s best for you to sell and hold the little you have than leaving it there, if you don’t, then you’re going to end up experience more loss which wouldn’t be nice.

It will be happen to almost in everyone because maybe no one can predict if their coin will get pumped, in where it is peak and sometimes we afraid of that price can bouncing down suddenly. That is why some people sell their assets earlier then regret if the price keep increased. I think it is just how much we grateful with what we get because maybe not all everyone profit in it, some are missing or some already cutloss their assets.

I also experienced the same thing, where before the current bullrun happened, I sold the eth asset at a price of $250, and shortly after I saw the price started to bullrun, sometimes I regret but can't do it again, because the asset has sold out. but I realized, from my sales, I have made a profit, and maybe this is the only profit I get, that way I can reduce the feeling of disappointment
When ETH was just starting off i do really talk to myself that i would really be holding lots of this coin and i can even earn through faucets in the past and i did really make out some good holdings but on the time it did hit almost a hundred bucks then i do sold off and that time it did really go even higher which do really leave that regretable feeling which is really a very common emotion that you would felt on these kind of times.
Lots of scenarios that do i able to experience that on the time  i did sell off then the price had shoot up even more. Its impossible for someone to tell that they are just totally fine.  Cheesy

Because you probably watching chart frequently and don't use indicator and fibonacci to setup your TP price target. This is common for traders that don't use trading tools and trading base on how they feel. Maybe you are watching too much price action of pump and dump and then once you saw a medium size green candle, You immediately sold due to excitement cause by watching chart which will not happened if you setup TP price in advance and stop watching chart.

Yup, you are not the only one who notices that. It does feel like they are watching my wallet disperse the coins because the moment I sold my holdings, the price quickly goes up like it didn't want me to buy back. I sold my ADA after it reaches $1.70. I thought it's going to be the peak so I waited and although it drops a bit, the bounce greatly leaves me behind as it reaches more than $2.

It does happen when I sold my BTC as well. And it felt like the exchanges themselves are purposely buying them while I hold my stablecoin to wait for the dip.
This happens to almost everyone, after selling price keeps pumping make us feel we sold too early, and some time might want to go jump back in and buy the top which might be too risky, well for me I think it will be better after selling no need of looking at the price pumps, it's better to wait for a pull back or look for another coin which is still down and buy, there are thousands of coin in the market and all of them doesn't pump same time.
Well, holders have an extremely bad habit that they like to check the price of their holdings but instead of a set limit of checks, they often randomly test too much and since then, this habit makes them talkative and enjoy prying into past data as well as the current state even after the investment has been abandoned by them. Once checked and surprised, they will re-evaluate everything in terms of opinion and information, pooling regrets to buy the top in risk as a last card, lament about the market here
