Also in that post I said from the beginning that I felt in love and Vod warned me not to get scammed... I admit that I had a good laugh at his post... but after it happened I said fuck me that dude was right!

You know what the good part is? That she only asked for 20-25 euros... but I would have gave her even more because I was in love and besides that I really think everyone deserves a fair chance and should not be judged by my experiences I had in the past with people...

As a side note one ex-girlfriend "scammed" me for about 1000 euros... she said to me buy me this dog and when we get home I will give you the money back... surprise when we got home I was paying her bank rates also... this is how I am when I'm in love! Money are not a problem for me! Why? Because I don't have them!

This is where we start to enter a different ballpark, do you really think the kind of people who could scam vulnerable men would care of this comment. Or that they have no heart?

Girls aren't innocent, people aren't innocent, in this world be careful of who you trust. Even some of the good will fuck you over given the chance eg. tempted with you leaving some cash exposed.

There are a huge range of personalities and unless you really get to know someone face to face it's impossible to understand them, or where you stand with them.

The biggest eye opener to me was to find that 1 in 10 people are considered sociopaths, they have no moral conscience. This doesn't make them scammers or axe murders although it makes me very weary of who can be trusted. Women however tend to show more manipulative traits than males. I hear this is because women lack the physical strength of men and make up for it in different ways.

I realized this way too late in life causing me to get taken advantage of by both men and women.

I'm kinda jealous that they make so much money in a minute without working, just by taking a few hot pics, but my job is super fun and it doesn't feel like work either so I can't really complain

You must be young if you haven't figured this one out yet.   Naive guys fall for this all the time. You don't go around begging for gifts... you don't have to! All you have to do is lead a guy on with some pretty pics and make it sound like you're interested in him.  It helps if you act extra girly too.  These type of guys think that they need to shower girls with gifts in order to keep their interest.  It's so very painful to watch, because no matter how much sense you try to talk in to the guy, he's so enamoured that he won't listen to reason.  Lots of men that want to scam know this and so they will pretend to be a pretty girl to scam. 

I used to play an MMO called FFXI and this sort of stuff was rampant.  You wouldn't believe the stuff people would do.  I knew several males that would play female characters in order to scam.  When it got too weird for one guy, he faked his own death to avoid the player he was scamming.  Of course he was back a week later, claiming to be the girl's parents "to keep her memory alive" lol sounds legit, right?  Then there were the real women who would flirt for help/free stuff.  Not really sure if you can call that scamming though as I do believe the guys would get something out of it(at least I hope they were smart enough to get pics lol).

So yeah, the norm would be (much like this forum) you were considered male until proven otherwise.  I understand where the sentiment comes from, but I don't believe that's any excuse to be rude and treat you like a scammer. Especially in the newbie section where you're not conducting any business, but just asking a legitimate question.  Like others have said, I think there are quite a few women on here, but they prefer to keep their sex private because of unwanted attention or as you can see, being labeled as a scammer.

To answer your question though, I'm female myself (just not a pretty one XD) and am happy to see more on here.

There are very very few people who fully understand Bitcoin (I know I certainly don't), regardless of their sex... there are plenty of people who may think they do, but most of them are wrong

I think it's possible for most people to understand enough about Bitcoin (with some effort of course) to be capable of using it responsibly.

Stupidly naive I guess, sad but true. I've been told this before you're not the first person to point it out. I'm an artsy kind of person (music mainly), that probrably explains a lot. I have loads of contact with techy "nerds", introverted musicians, socially awkward souls in general, in real life, and they always feel comfortable around me, even though I'm "pretty" I guess. So I don't understand why "nerds" on here are acting so awkwardly towards me, when in real life it has never been a problem to interact with them?

I have never taken advantage of a guy, ever, just because I could doesn't mean I would. Girls who take advantage of guys have no self respect and no heart, it's quite sad. And I'm super disappointed in some of you guys who say if you were pretty girls you would be scamming every guy out there, shame on you.

Then you're either not a girl or are stupidly naive. And this isn't the street; it's the Internet. A place where socially awkward and geeky men can hide behind a conputer screen which gives them the confidence to talk to women when a wild one appears. Some men drop their guard when they think they're talking to a female - a real life female! How exciting! She would never possibly scam me because women don't do that sort of thing, right? If you don't understand all the benefits and ways a woman can have power over a man then you're either in denial, or again, stupidly naive. Can you not understand why strippers or camgirls get money thrown at them? Who gets more money in the street? A homeless man or a homeless woman? Bet you the woman would get multiple times more if she was pretty too.

I still don't understand why being a pretty girl would automatically entitle us to random btc donations on here, like, just for being a girl? How? why? Do you see a pretty girl walking down the street and throw pound notes at her? I know some girls (or guys pretending to be girls) were begging on here and that's pretty straight forward, equivalent to a begger on the street, homeless asking for money, etc, and it's nice to be kind to someone in need.
But the whole btc concept of throwing money at girls just for being pretty really confuses me, I don't get it.

Same here! I'm not a guy or ugly or selling anything or trying to scam anyone. I know a little html and built a few okay sites, but I don't have the brains to be a hacker or anything like that. As it is, I'm still trying to wrap my head around bitcoin! But I found it interesting and thought I'd see if I could figure it out.

I only read page 1 and 10 so don't know if this has been mentioned yet but there are probably plenty of girls around that just don't tell anyone. In a male dominated forum I'm sure there's risk of unwanted attention. This would be a good reason to keep quiet.

For all you know I could be a girl and just reluctant to tell.
