Unfortunately, this is way in most internet forums, and especially in BCT.  9 out of 10 (being generous here) posters that have female monikers usually are out to scam other posters, by preying on the weak and impulsive.

You act like you had no control over your post. You are not part of the solution you are part of the problem by enforcing those "god given" rules, which makes you sexist and thus -at least in my eyes- untrustworthy. Apparently you are not able to make up your own mind, but follow "the internet". Yet the internet is not a singular thing, but something each and everyone of us can change as long as we are part of it.

Nothing sexist at all in being safe and smart.

Beeing smart would be to assume nothing. This is not a trade, this is not a loan request, its just a questions in "beginners and help". How is demanding prove for beeing female smart?

Check my trust for trustworthiness here in BCT.

I allready improved your trust, thanks.

WHOA WHOA WHOA, pump the brakes!  Never called anyone a hooker, you said that!

All I said you want to be trustworthy here in Bitcointalk, prove it.  Nothing sexist in that.  Moving on.....

As far as posting a pic, it proves who she says she is(if it's a she), and validates the identity, building more trust than if he/she's an anonymous, potentially harmful scammer.

Please improve your reading skills. You imply, which makes you sexist because in your worldview apparently a female has to "prove" beeing one or can be considered a scammer. You however for some reason dont have to prove "having balls". So, if YOU want to be trustworthy here in bitcointalk, prove it. Nothing sexist in that, according to you. Awaiting a picture.

inb4 I aint sexist but I compare you to the stuff I sold, implying you want to sell yourself.

insert appropriate gif here

Hey you sell yourself too!  Look at your signature line.   Tongue

At least I have balls to admit it.   Cheesy

I sell the space below the shit texts I write. You sell/sold hardware. Implying that a random female on the internet is a hooker does not result in you "having balls" but in you deserving to get your balls cut off.

You can click a pic of yourself with your username and some message on a piece of paper. You may or may not reveal your entire face but show off something so that it looks legit and members can trust you. This is just a suggestion.

And yeah my friends (boys cause I am a male) also listen to the whole BTC thing and act as if they understand everything but at the end it always turns out that they didn't even listen to even 1/4th of the lecture.  Wink Wink Wink Wink

Why would she need to do that? Would you do the same to prove you are a male and have friends?   Smiley
Plus, proving that she is a female won't make her more trustworthy.

I actually do think you have to prove that you are a girl, not because I'm sexist, but because of the sheer amount of scammers that post here in BCT.  Also, you did start this post, might as well squash all fears going forward and gain trust, in case you do make transactions here going forward.

It's actually the way it works here, in Bitcointalk.  Here, for example from my post a few months back:

3 Zeusminer Blizzard Scrypt miners: +4 MH/s total

Number of pieces: Three complete Blizzard kits.  Each kit comes with 1 Zeusminer, 1 USB cable, 1 power cable and barrel connector.

Asking price for lot(prefer to sell all miners at once) or Best Offer: 0.45 BTC

Escrow: Sure, buyer pays. OgNasty recommended.

Shipping: UPS Ground Shipment to USA only. Will figure out cost once sale is in place.

Condition: Brand New.  Received it from Minersource yesterday, tested 1 Blizzard on clevermining.com, then took a picture.

Picture:

Placing offers: Post offers here or shoot me a PM

All you have to do is take a picture of yourself, write on a blank piece of paper your forum name, today's date, and either blur out your face or not include your face.

That should cement your status here, and gain trust at the same time.

Or not, and let everybody think you're a scammer....up to you.

i m not agree that there are no girls in bitcoin community
but they don't like talk about gender, they are busy talking about bitcoin

I've been busy talking (and mainly reading) about btc on here and it's a great forum.
However, I need to defend myself if someone accuses me of being a scammer out of the blue just cause I'm a girl.

There will be always ppl that'll accuse you when you try to loan or anything related, no matter what gender. I agree that some ppl are acting suspicious, but I think ppl should only be called scammer when it's proven. Anyways, no one should be trusted in this forum (no matter what gender), only some select escrows.

Fair enough, I get it, I'm reading the "I'm in love" thread right now.

Ps. Who the hell is King Vod and how do I get him to verify me as legit?

I'm not gonna take advice from a newbie who joined 10 seconds ago and has 1 post. If a senior member asks me for a pic, I may do it, however, if those are the rules, I want every guy on here to take a pic to prove who they are as well, fair is fair.

If I was you, I wouldn't mention you're a female again, unless it's directly relevant to the conversation. I've been here for awhile and I've never mentioned my gender. There are a few good members here who actually are females, but you wouldn't know, because they don't talk about it all day long.

Nobody on this forum needs to prove they're a guy. It's assumed, since a good 98% of people here are male. The world doesn't revolve around you - if you feel like proving you're a female, do it. Otherwise, stop worrying about it and just keep running along like everyone else in this gender-irrelevant forum.

My scammer alert alarm is sounding. Yeah, there are a few girls involved in bitcoin, but sadly most of the ones on here who go out of their way to tell everyone about their female gender are unfortunately just gearing up to try scam people.

It doesn't make sense to me.
No matter the person is a male or female, American or European or Asian or African, you should be equally cautious for the trades.
You shouldn't trust the person more just because it is a "she", and you shouldn't consider the person less trustworthy simply because it is a "she".

Exactly. I think it's great how everyone in the btc community is keen to help each other out with trades, loans, etc, but why treat girls like a threat? We don't have special hypnotic powers to get guys to send btc. So don't worry. Plus I would think everyone on here is smart and has common sense to be cautious whether its a girl or a guy? So can we pls all get along and be friends now? : ) xxx

SexyBTC is girl too.

Don't know if she still is around.

Guess not.
She wasn't as active after being accused of scamming and last logged in on August 24.

Well to be fair, a username like SEXYbtc is a bit suggestive I.e. suspicious. But any girls who are using their own names (like myself) -and show an interest in how bitcoin works not just how to get them sent to them for free- should be treated as equals on here, pretty please? X
