You are correct it ridiculous and you do not have to be accountant to understand this. Is it possible, he has no idea wtf treasury stock is and just used a fancy word?

Every share bought back by the Co becomes treasury stock - no divs, no voting. Period! Those share can be later canceled.
When shares are bought back - number of outstanding shares must be reduced (btc-tc supports that) and there is also reduction of company assets (_cash_ used to buy the shares). This is usually done when Co shares are undervalued for what ever reason and it actually makes sense to buy them back.

If Co has 1000 outstanding shares and 1000 coins
Co buys back 100 shares for 100 coins, they are left with 900 shares outstanding and 900 coins as cash.

Now, if that same Co makes 50 in profit and has 900 shares outstanding and 100 in treasury, 50 gets divided by 900 shares and NOT by 1000 (900+100)

"reinvestment share"? I hope they mean the % of profits reinvested. Nothing wrong with that because the coin stays in the Co as an asset.

I do not have enough LTC shares to be part of the official voting process. Regardless, we need to do everything to keep scams like this off the exchange(s).

Now, this scam has happened. Guy has the coin and it's probably all transferred to his wallet. Only way to fix this mess is if he fixes the contract so shareholders do not get ripped off.

I'd be happy with this thread going into cold storage, and for Ken to start a new moderated thread. He could add a note in the first post as to why it will be moderated, and quote some examples of where Megamouth, Swede etc engaged in malicious typing on this one, show the kind of behaviour that won't be tolerated.

Ken, if you feel after the vote that deleting any of my posts is needed to tidy up, please do so with gusto!

If 'no' wins, please create a blog or something where updates/news are posted.
This thread is growing too fast with utterly nonsense for a full time working dad to keep up with (you know, there are people who don't spend their entire lives in front of bitcointalk.org).

If were talking about outright calling AMC a scam literally in every sentence in a post, or abusive text, then yes please remove them all. I come home to 4 more pages of text in the thread, and half of it is people arguing or the same bashing. I really like what some dissidents have to say, especially when they offer a solution they think would be better for the company. This would in turn be better received by ken, and we can actually move on. SO DONT REMOVE NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT AMC, but do moderate them for insanely ridiculous posts that do nothing but spread mindless FUD.

Sorry, I do feel a little bad about that entry. I guess I got a little carried away.

I am fine with having a mod, Burnside or even Ken remove off-topic posts.

I do however still consider there to be a vast amount of issues that need to be addressed before I can call AMC anything else then a "pretty damn close to a complete scam" based on a lot of the things brought up here. Starting with but not exclusively related to:

- pricing structure and expected profit margin
- ownership structure
- share structure
- ownership structure relating to profit and risk sharing related to VMC'S/AMC and Ken.
- listing practices and total share amount, listing time and dividend placement

This is the kind of post that needs to get removed from the thread - so I will vote Yes to removing completely irrelevant posts not related to AMC


EDIT: I am concerned though, that Ken has time to put up a Poll, but ignores the geniune questions that NEED answers. There are reasons the shares have tanked, and one reason is because of the silence. I am a shareholder, and I am not a weak hand, yet I too am getting increasingly worried.

^^^^^ This.  But please don't stop with AMC/VMC.  There have been other serious concerns brought up.  While trolls are doubters, not all doubters are trolls.

I don't know if it's just me or it bothers anyone else but can we do something about the price & volume graph on btct. It seems like the one share that went for .1 is screwing everything up.

It started out with an annoying kid, now it's just sad. I do look forward to clarification on a lot of issues.

I don't always spot 13 year olds, but when I do:

- they back out when anyone calls their bluff
- they have EVERY post in the same thread

Ken, rather than putting up a poll in regards to censorship please address the discussed issues in the last 1-2 days for the sake of the AMC shareholders. First thing that you need to clear up is the AMC/VMC issue.

I have to disagree with you.  The last thing that Ken needs right now is to be accused of censorship.  That's not what a public discussion in relation to his company is about.  I would much rather he open a separate official "shareholders only" thread.  Plus, if these post get deleted, we will not have any mud to sling at the trolls in a few months if the price skyrockets.

Sure, I totally understand, and there is really no need to apologize.  Let me reiterate though, take this as an opportunity to benefit on others behalf.  I know that sounds a bit dickish on my part, but people have been jumping this ship before she even left harbor.  Fuck'em!  If the price triples in another month, then these weak hands will know the pain of lost opportunity.

Sorry, yes happy to wait for a response. I'm a bit disappointed that the main announcement was pre-announced and there was time to get stuff ready beforehand.   If the main announcement had had more weight behind it (eg pics of a prototype, a letter from eASIC etc) we probably wouldn't be right where we started in terms of stock price and also more funds going Ken's way to pay for further development etc.

Seeing as there is a large chunk of negativity in this thread I just thought I would jump on board to support everyone else who is PRO-AMC.
Been buying up as much shares as possible(Loving the low prices atm ), I can afford the risk. In my opinion if you cant afford the risk, why are you investing - and why are you investing in a digital currency?
Everyone here is trying to make it big quick. If I lose my money - so be it, Continue on with the next thing with big potential.

Hell I hope that Ken actually removes all IPO shares and doesnt release any more. That way I can buy all of you little weaklings shares and point'n'laugh at all of you once the dividends start rolling in.

 

Dude, give him a few days.  I understand that as shareholders, we want our confidence in this stock to increase, but there have been several other posts like yours already posted to this thread.  I am sure that he has seen them, and will respond accordingly.  Typical businesses do not issue press statements within 24 hours of the owner getting yelled at on a forum.  Just wait a few days, and see if kslaughter delivers.  In the meantime, use this as an opportunity to buy some cheap shares.

To be perfectly honest with you, I don't think that you should delete the back and forth between everyone. Additionally, Ken, I think there are a number of serious issues you need to deal with asap. Your relative silence on the 20+ pages since the announcement of Thursday is deafening. I get that you're busy, but you have people running for the hills here, and the sooner you get people back onside, the better. From what I've read on all of this thread, it's almost 70%+ scam accusations, and while I've invested in AMC because I'm prepared to take a hit because of the risk/reward ratio, as soon as I stuck my money in, I figured it was gone (that's been my guiding principle for everything bitcoin related).

I'd hate to see all of the people who have placed their trust in this be burnt, and I'd guess that you'd stand to profit more by running above board than doing some shady dealings to make a quick buck. For the love of god, please put people's minds at rest by offering us proof on the future of the company, recant the NDAs with eAsics, and sort out the shambles with the AMC/VMC split. As I said, if you are scamming us, you'll probably stand to make a quick buck, but you'll make a hell of a lot more if you're legitimate with all of this.

All I'm saying is, don't be a dick.
