I like how they paid out for 2 months, lots to time to move out of offices, set up new bank accounts (offshore ofcourse), liquidate hard assets,  etc etc.

the shutdown for 2 weeks during Chinese holydays was a nice touch too. That way they did'nt not have to pay anything and gain 2 weeks.

Very professional.

Wouldn't have worked with IRL money tho.  But good 'nuf for Bitcoin.

Havelock is not a mark for any recovery. This will just make the things more complicated unnecessarily. This is my private opinion. Apart from that I do not see them as much involved in it. What for drag them into this? In what way can we benefit?

Why insist on royal plural?  That's like, so affected, man.  Just say "him," like a normal human being.

Havelock HAS RESPONSIBILITY in this for the simple fact that they sold us an scam, in good faith nor not.

So if you go to a convenience store and buy a can of beer, you give your money to the teller, then walking out to your car you open the can and the beer is putrid, do you comeback to the store and ask for your money back or go to the Heineken factory and ask them for a refund?

I gave my money to Havelock, Havelock sold me a putrid beer, i think that in good faith they made the same mistake than everybody else: To believe in the word of some Chinese schoolboys.

Now, want it or not Havelock is deep into this, a pity because i see that they strive for a good reputation.

HAVELOCK: SEE THIS AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO EMBOLDEN YOUR REPUTATION, Pay what was given to you accordingly to contract terms:

Risk control

1. Before IPO closes, ASICMiner has the right to buy back at the price of IPO price * 100.5%.

2. During the first 45 days after IPO closes, ASICMiner has the right to buy back at the price of (IPO price - total payouts) * 120%. The notification period is 3 days.

3. If the delay of payment happens, all unpaid payments will be accounted separately on daily basis and increase by 0.02% per day(flat rate based on the initial unpaid payment amount, no compound rate) after three days.

DO THIS AND ACHIEVE A STATURE AS AN HONORABLE AND HONEST PLAYER IN THE BITCOIN COMMUNITY.

And, being so few left in the Bitocin world, you have more to gain than to lose.

That 1HELPME address (and the hundreds like it) just spam out dust to high value wallets hoping someone will send them some coin.

I would never blame havelock for this. They do their best to communicate with us and verify companies to prevent scams. But they could not have known what am hash would do. Most of us felt am hash was reliable due to who backed them.

oh cmon they new from December that miners been stolen and kept it secret they are not as good as you picture it

According to Havelock, they found out the same time as everybody else:

Last Month the AMHASH1 Fund Managers has posted this updated:

"February 8th, 2015 - Announcement of The Spring Festival Holiday

Dear Customers,

We will pause the transaction and dividends of AMHash from 10th February to 28th February for The Spring Festival Holiday coming. And we will restart all those things in the beginning of March.

AMHash Team"

During the period when our site was down, we were informed at the same time that everyone else was informed through this very thread that the AMHASH team were not able to reach anyone at ASICMIner which operates the mining farm for the AMHASH mining operation.  At this time we have suspended trading on the AMHASH Fund until further information is provided to us.

We would like to remind everyone that the AMHASH operation is a joint venture between RockMiner and ASICMiner.

Thank you,

Havelock

I do not see any benefits in dragging havelock into this. First it is different jurisdiction than the main culprits.

Jurisdictions spread across the globe you say?
Suckers Investors have trivial sums at stake, and can't tell the difference between a seersucker and a legal suit?

Show my HOW they verify companies.

Havelock isnt a regulated exchange, they do not comply with security laws that exist in almost every country. Laws designed to prevent these kinds of things from happening, but laws which also make it all but impossible for small crypto startups to be listed on an exchange and for anonymous unsophisticated investors like yourself, to invest in them.

If you are not happy with that, you shouldnt have used havelock. I dont think they claim to perform a thorough due diligence thats even remotely comparable to a, say, NYSE IPO. And whatever due diligence they may do or you might reasonably expect them to do, would have cleared asicminer

Ive never recommended anyone to use HL for the above and countless other reasons, but I also dont think they are to be blamed for this fiasco.

What are you talking about? Better read what I wrote before writing BS.

This event has shown how lightly Havelock and the other companies handles their businesses.
This is probably because the crypto world provides a more anonymous structure which allows you to run when you chose to.

No government, no legislation, no sanctions.
The only base of trust is goodwill here.

It was a posting by TAT Investments. "Seems" comes from me for the transfer was never properly documented.
Probably entirely wrong, but I always assumed Havelock was TAT Investments, or at least a joint venture between TAT and others.

I wouldn't exclude this. TAT was in the gaming business. So is Havelock (just talk to the Casino's guys in Panama...).

Still, this doesn't wholly explain the links to AM / FC.

So for understanding what happened to FC, I believe every single aspect has to be looked at. And one of the main aspects is Havelock and the gaming industry.
