Pfffhhh...pre-internet..

Those and other philosophers like them are the foundation of all science. You can't have proper science without a proper philosophy of science. And to have a proper philosophy of science you need to have some key advancements in epistemology in place.

Alright, to play along with you in this, guess what comes before, what takes precedence to, epistemology? It's ontology. Most of us started out from the wrong ontological starting point, hence we are epistemologically operating on a false assumption: the illusion of separation, or Maya, the idea that there is an objective reality that is separate from "self", that the experiencer and the experienced are separate entities... that you are not God. There is no outside to existence. It's easy to discover this thanks to the liberation of access to information sources enabled by the Internet, something which those authors didn't have... hence "pre-Internet" is a very useful distinction to make.

Plato, Hobbes, Descartes, Kant, Locke: who are these idiots? More of your obsolete fucking Jews, consigned to the dustbin of history along with their legacy fiat slavery scam? Never fucking heard of them.

They were smart people. There are even smarter people around now, but you aren't paying attention to them because other very smart people have managed to make it seem to you that there aren't very smart people around anymore. Does this idea make sense to you?

Yeah, Icke is absolutely correct, and it takes only a little more than elementary research to figure that much out. Took me less than a year to get to that point (after an initial awakening), and at that time I was believing that Icke must be some kind of disinformation agent because of the reptilian stuff, hahaha.

Yes, read the authors that have been prescribed to you and put in your face since you were young, so that you won't notice how you are serving a control system that subtly "enslaves" your mind by means of making you believe that the violence-premised systems of control such as "democracy" and "government" and "authority" are benevolent forms of and the pinnacle of human organization. Keep doing that and shilling for "democratic" max blocksize increases that are probably engineered by the same control system so that you'll help to (temporarily) hinder the advancement of one of the largest threats to its largest control vector (centralized debt-based money).

What on Earth could make you believe that those 5 pre-Internet authors could in any way be able to offer an appropriate analysis of our world today? Why is it that you have even heard of them, and not about ? I can answer the question, of course, but I'll let you ponder it... if you haven't completely lost the ability to think for yourself, that is.

Btw, how "free" is your mind if you're afraid to read this stuff? If anyone else talked like that to you wouldn't you be worried?

The only people working against our freedom are the ones telling us that we are not free to fork.
You ARE free to fork (as you already know). What would convince you that hardforking is NOT a good idea?

We have to increase the 1 MB limit sonner or later, only nuts believe it can stay 1 MB forever. It is better to increase the limit sonner than later then because its better to not restrict Bitcoin adoption by having enought space for more transactions available. Also 2 MB is far from any real impact on decentralization so there is very little argumens against the 2 MB except the hardforking, but it has to be done sonner or later anyway.

The problem according to anarchists (and other collectivists) seems to be that people they disagree with get to vote as well.
Anarchists and other collectivists?? WOW. (See link in sig, if you want to learn anything...)

I'm sorry to tell you that there's nothing there. He's saying stuff every 14 year old have thought about, but in a way you only will hear in a cult or a sect.

If you really want to know something about the world you're living in, and about freedom, then here's a list to get you started:

  • Plato: The Statesman
  • Hobbes: Leviathan
  • Descartes: Meditations
  • Kant: Groundwork of the Metaphysics of Morals; Critique of Pure Reason; Critique of Practical Reason; Critique of Judgement; Metaphysics of Morals; Perpetual Peace.
  • John Locke: On Liberty

Because nothing changes. Modern circumstances may change the appearance of issues, but ultimately its our human response that is critical.

You dont get it. Because you think you are special, you think your problems are special. They are not.

The Republic is a horrible authoritarian dystopian fantasy. Plato’s politics always makes me queasy.

Which makes The Statesman all the more interesting. You can see the power of the critical mind. He dissects politics in a way that clears the path for a modern democracy, even if he can't see it himself.

I'll take your word for it. I gave up on him after he outlawed poetry. Undecided

I'm pretty sure he's dead. You can read his works under a blanket with a flashlight.
