Ok guys, ive contacted all exchanges about the update. i also made sure to pm BlackSmith the right source and linked him to one of our block-explorers so hopefully yobit will get on the right track. BTCPOP.co already updated, Cryptopia acted swiftly too and put their 1337 wallet in maintenance while theyre updating.

There is a small delay with the mac and linux wallets but i will get it sorted asap.

F.A.Q

My coins are on an exchange. Are they safe there? Do I need to send coins to my own wallet before the halving?

It's pretty much impossible to lose your coins during the fork. Just keep them on the exchange and wait till the wallet is out of maintenance and TRY WITH A SMALL TEST WITHDRAWAL FIRST

What will happen if i dont update my wallet?

not much, you will keep staking on the old network but you will not be able to send coins to wallets that are on the new version. when you update the wallet, you will lose all stakes that you received after the fork date/time.

How exactly do i update my wallet?

download it from any of the links i posted above and replace the old .exe with the new one.

My balance is not showing the correct amount after i did the update! now what?

Go to Debug>Console> type repairwallet and hit ENTER> restart your wallet (if needed)

Will my balance in my wallet halve after the halving?

no. only the stake reward is halving.

Yes it is now starting to pay off but we have a lot further to go in price. I always saw 1337 coin as a long term hold and with all long term coins patients is the key. I can see 1337 coin rising to at least 20 to 50 sats in the next couple of months so it's still a good time to buy and stake this coin.

There is no malware or virus attached. I ve tested it on virustotal scanner against 62 antivirus software and they are all green except one which is false alarm (It says bitcoin miner and it is a crypto miner). Checkout the screenshots below

I can't see it happening as they even delisted a lot of coins that are active and have strong community support. It's best to try and stake your 1337 coins on your desktop computer or Laptop as you will earn more staking rewards and will also be helping support the 1337 coin network.

Wow! Thanks to the BTC/1337 pair on Cryptopia has helped bring in a lot more volume in the last 24 hours. If we can keep this up for the next month or so we could be listed on Bittrex.

Halving is just a reduction to the stakers rewards, therefore a reduction to rate of supply, the number of coins you hold will not change.
