2. you can safely delete

blk0001.dat
blkindex.dat

and the file(s) in subdirectory "database"

3. restart wallet to sync the chain

Hi all,

My pleasure. I really do appreciate the suggested patches offered up by the community. I would rather "do it right than do it over" and we will enhance the list of hard sync's in the code with each release.

Now that the seed nodes are correctly configured to be authoritative systems of record for sync checks we can scale up without much human intervention and will work to add additional geographically strategically placed seed nodes this summer to increase resiliency and fault-tolerance.

I appreciate your continued vigilance, support and oversight.

CORRECTION -- I think I found the issue -- only one of the seed nodes was running as checkpoint master -- as soon as I restarted the other seed node they achieved consensus and are both now showing the correct checkpoint!

Okay I see someone offered a patch -- I need to rebuild the wallets anyway to point to a new ABE for getting address balance information anyway since we transferred the inter.com domain name.

The next big thing coming this summer is finishing the work on removing the BDB and going all in on SQLITE.

Also finishing the Proof-of-Giving system that will split POS blocks among designated donation addresses.

And adding in a new "digital notary" TX type to begin testing out the web of trust concepts in IDCoins.

It's really hard to say with an exchange account -- 2GIVE does constantly work to fold back in smaller unspent outputs as part of TX -- this is designed to keep the overall chain less fragmented. The long term plan is to demonstrate a "REGENESIS" event that takes all unspent outputs and bundles them into a new genesis block to reboot the chain file. But that's a year away.
