Several of us are quietly trading and watching on the Xchange 42-Btc pair.

EDIT  Yeh, trying to shake things up a little, to see if we can get enough volume to get a clear buy-sell spread.

Edit Edit  The Apprentice and I have successfully awakened the Xchange market. (Price knocked down to 1.8!). Let's see what happens.

We will, if necessary, narrow the buy-sell spread to 1%, to get volume.

Hi all,

I have an old 42coin wallet.dat and installed the 42 Coin Core for windows (64bit). It updated the chain data and when I then close the app, replace the wallet.dat with mine and restart the program, I get an error message and the app doesn't start and crashes.

Any ideas?

Wallets and additional info regarding the old 42coin you can find in this post: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.15112160

Check our chart here. Few sells. Plenty of buys. It's still low volume. But sentiment has changed

No grumpiness here:

governments are printing money like crazy -- are you serious: 2 $Trillion?

Many cryptos stake. Many lack hard-caps.

But 42-coin? There will be less 42-coin tomorrow than today. And even less the day after.

So running my wallet while I am on-line is neither here nor there for me.

I keep my wallet running in the system tray as I think it helps new wallets sync up quicker :-)

I tried making a transfer of 0.001 to Finebox but I didn't think much before accepting the wallets default transaction fee of 0.00000002 and its been stuck for over 5 days.
Is there anyway to add more to the transaction fee?

This is not because of the small fee. Try to execute in the wallet console: resendwallettransactions.

That worked a treat :-) Thank you

We doing well on Xchange. Not a lot of trading. But there are ten or a dozen buys for every sell.

' there is zero point leaving my wallet open'

Welcome, minerja.

If I am on-line, I run my QT. It keeps our network strong. 42-coin is insanely valuable. So, no problem for me.

Ask us about trading 42-coin. Mmmmm . . . trading!

Minerja if you believe your dents will reach 0.00000001 dent equal 1 USD in a few years .. My wallet would be on 24 hours a day .. it's your investment but it will be worth it. But i do believe that the top 3 wallets should break up their purse to smaller purses to make staking more fair.. Don't  let the staking be the reason to stop . Think of the value you'll gain !!!

Because they're only 42-coins that can be broken down in 0.00000001 dent. The smallest 42-coin unit minus 100,000,000 dents x 42 coins is the total amount of dents that doesnt required much computation compared to bitcoin and the network demands required a few nodes because only 42 coins need to be tracked and low exchange volume. .  the 42-coin ledger doesn't required much hard drive space and energy compared to bitcoin ledger so therefore lt puts the demands on your local wallet but that's the key to it's survivability. Yes it seems unfair that the staking protocol favors the bigger the better wallet. What makes it worse they're only 42
coins total to stake on.. so the chance to stake on dents are impossible but the dents will be deflated and I predict at current trends of the value of a single 42-coin . In 2 years,  0.00000001 dents will be worth 1 USD dollar or higher!!! Even though you won't earn dents on staking your wallet, the staking value will grow and secures your investment at the same time..

Updated post

So the gist is, there is zero point leaving my wallet open, and unless i buy some more coins, i will never gain any extra....
Thought as much, just wanted to make sure i wasnt making any silly errors

Hi,
Can anyone please explain the staking rewards to me...in simple terms.

I get that the POW is over, but, i have had 0.00005 42 coin sat in an open wallet for 6 months straight, never seen it move to the "staking" line on the wallet, and never received any reward.
I'm guessing i am doing something wrong, but what i dont know.

Thanks

I understand, in broad terms, that we don't run our wallets for reward, but to secure the network. It relates to being an actually deflationary coin.

We should run basic courses in trading 42.

ok, so what is the point of having a "staking" wallet, that doesn't earn anything? I am confused.

As for securing the network, thats more down to open nodes with the low hashrate on this coin.

42-Coin has survived the thefts from three significant exchanges. Cryptsy, Livecoin.net, and Altilly each have their own story on why users can’t withdraw or only can withdraw for a brief period. However, 42-coin and their team continue to push on and seem to have a bright future ahead of them.

FreeBitcoins.com already supported 42-coin before a few of these incidents. We are happy to continue to support the 42coin team in 2021 and forward.
