Does this mean that devs misled and lied to us?
God will punish them ... and his hand gives everyone deserves ...

For the record I have 250 000 Octoshit. Squeezing them 5-6 months.

Devs, fix the wallet or you will burn in hell.

lol devs died they dont care

Didn't die, they have released 4 other ALT Coins under different names by now, and bolted from all of them.

OMG!
Are we fucking dead?
 Shocked

Yes we are dead...Octocoin is dead...Octohub is dead...it was a big fail and we all lost quite a bit of money. Sad story, but nothing really special in Cryptoland

remember how everyone was all excited for august 8th? people thought there was going to be an 8-8 celebration or something?

when that came and went without a motherfucking peep, (who would want to promote their coin with a single 1 sentence post anyways?) everyone latched onto october being the month that something big would happen. cause you know OCTOber right?

guess what guys? surprise! the october celebrations are upon us!

Since it looks like Bittrex is going to be out, are there other exchanges for OCTO?  Wondering what is going to happen to the coins are were in route to Bittrex when they locked the wallet?

Or should I even worry since it looks like this is a dead coin.

I'm definitely interested in keeping Octo alive, unfortunately whilst I have decades of development experience C was never my thing.  I can read code and spot obvious scams though which would afford us a little protection against potentially nefarious hired help.  I do also have web developers on staff who might be interested in some extra curricular work if that kind of thing figures in your plans.

Depending on the challenge they fancy taking on there could definitely be some extra curricular work for your web-designers. We'll also need a team of people to do the appropriate research, reaching out to other relevant organisations, PR etc etc. You don't necessarily need tech know how to help out :-)

I’m both depressed about this all, and oddly uplifted by some recent posts - things about opportunities, people being helpful.

On one hand, things with octocoin have gone abysmally bad of late. I’m still stunned.

On the other hand, there’s still positivity in this thread. And it seems genuine.

Now, that positive attitude won’t amount to a damn thing if the devs never deliver anything. But if they do, octocoin could still be so great. This community really is very solid.

All we need is for the devs to deliver...

there's always still the option to fork and take over the blockchain if the devs never show back up.

Yeah but this stuff also killed more than one coin before, because no one was preparing a takeover right on time.

Any volunteers for a takeover yet ?

Like I said in an earlier post I, and the rest of the 'council', would be interested in making something of this coin but I don't have an interest in hijacking it. If there's no news by mid-November I'll start making moves to find people who are interested in helping make 888 into something other than hopeful promises. After about a week of that (talking with the interested parties and trying to find some Devs to to take on the technical aspects of coin creation), if we are looking like we could take things forward I'd be happy to let the wider community know what my idea is. So by the end of November we should know if there's a community willing and able to take the coin over. I'll drop Richie an email letting him know this and ask him to let us know before he ultimately de-lists us, giving us some time to figure out if we're going to make something of 888 and hopefully stopping us from having to try and get re-listed.

I think FrameLAlife is in but not sure about anyone else. Now is as good a time any any for people to say they'd be interested in in joining up. I think if it's taken over it should be controlled by members of the community and not just handed to a 'dev' to make it work. (If a dev had an idea with a USP they wouldn't help us, they'd make their own coin).

You cant erase a premise like that anyway, It would invalidate all transactions based on the source
