Is there any future for CNC ?
I checked on BTER price is too low. If have any future then have to take chance with investment on CNC. Its still minable cryptocurrency.
Doesn't matter if its mineable, no one uses it so I would say there is no future.
No body uses any cryptocurrency yet really. CHN coin had a lot of distribution into small wallets last time there was a block explorer I remember. It is likely to have some appeal just like any national coin, plus it was released first in Chinese, is an older coin, had no premine, was not made by an attention grabber, etc, all good things. Only negative is no current development. Anybody who can build wallets can step in and make this an expensive coin just by fixing the wallet and putting up an explorer.
Fairglu made an explorer for ChinaCoin at
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/cnc/ so now there are two explorers.
The other one prohashing's explorer at
https://prohashing.com/explorer/CHNcoin/Some nodes

Prohashing's node for this coin is 98.115.147.74:8106
This is the first thread for this coin. The dev posted in Chinese and English then went underground. The second thread is
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/chncoin-resurrected-322488The windows wallet on this thread 0.6.3 very clean for a wallet from that era

https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/d939224b3c78c033c637b865685c1f444bbfd5e9c01dea6975e75f74cde14480/analysis/1497380187/The old wallet synchs very raidly up to block 24,500 then seems to get stuck. The newer wallet 0.6.5 synchs pretty fast.
The largest wallet has 84% of coins and is almost certainly BTER's cold wallet
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/cnc/address.dws?261864.htmAssuming that is correct, then chn coin seems to have excellent distribution so far. Since so many coins are on the exchange they would be in the hands of Chinese speculators, which seems reasonable for a coin called China coin made by a Chinese person.
The next wallet has 6% and wallets #3 to #500 go from 1,490,132.8 to 1,332.8 .
BTER was hacked a few years ago and in my opinion handled the hack well, though a lot of people criticized the fact that they limited certain withdrawals. From what I can tell that exchange seems to be recovering well and if chn coin becomes popular it will probably become a major exchange again, though they have started doing some kind of Chinese aml form that might restrict westerners, I have not traded there in a long time and do not know if outsiders have to do that paperwork.
In the last 4 days the coin has passed its recent highs and is hitting 3 year highs. Today it is up again some. Looks like a good coin.
note
current supply is 171m, not the number on cmc. Current market cap according to cryptoid is 3.19m usd.

https://whois.domaintools.com/chncoin.orgThe only nodes shown at cryptoid are 0.6.5 but at least one computer 58.51.197.208:8106 is using 0.6.4 from
https://sourceforge.net/projects/chncoin/files/ and one poor soul using 0.6.3 at 176.159.125.118:8106 but probably they have been waiting several years for their wallets to synch
Halving is every 4 years, which is better than most coins, and there was no premine, but it was released on the Chinese language thread 4 hours before the English thread, though the English thread has been much more active.

Maybe the most important observation about this coin, there seem to be a lot of small transactions, very steadily. Obviously that's a good thing, but what its significance is I can't figure out. One thing that occurs to me is that China is a country with a controlled internet, even more so than the United States and North Korea, so it is possible they have some infrastructure that is allowing a network of chncoin wallets within China that is not connected outside. There is currently only one peer listed in China at Cryptoid. Whatever the explanation, the ongoing steady number of small to medium transactions seems significant.
