So what is actually going on with this coin?  There is just one guy (presumably the guy posting under chncoinsavior) who is the only person mining 95% of all blocks.

Chncoinsaviour can you please explain yourself?  Why do you use all of your mining power to mine this coin, at the same time killing it?  What is being done to fix the client?  It seems that the litecoin blockchain is floating around the chncoin network and causing clients to become desynced with the main chain.  I think there are some other forks floating around the network as well.

Is this coin dead?

There was a lower case r at the start but it seems to have changed now.  Must have been a typo.

I will now confirm that the message verifies.

So the ultimate question is, chncoinsavior what is your intention?  Why the version 2?  Are you using the client from the original download?

Are you going to back off near the end so your 300MH doesn't keep the diff super high?

have you tried to verify the message he posted?  Try it, let me know your results.  With a screen shot.

Also just to confirm it's not a hacked client, I tried modifying the message and it resulted in failed verification, so it looks legit to me.

Nice try.

What are you even talking about?  He signed a message for that address, so he is the miner.  There wasn't a lowercase 'r'.  Even if there was, the computing power required to generate a bitcoin address with only 1 character difference, would mean he has a lot more than 300Mhash, in fact he would need to be an alien from 5000 years in the future.

Aliens invented bitcoin but shhh. This man clearly has proven himself to be an alien from the future, he is here to save china coin!

Does anyone know what to do about this coin? This may be the last chance for new alt coins Things to consider would be. Keeping the chinese involved. Power consumption. Fairness. transaction speed. avoiding future forks.

Diversification is good. If this were to take off with the chinese and it's "intrinsic" value tied to chinese emerging technological economy, we would all be early adopters. This coin is already on many exchanges. It's being delisted from vircurex. Time is of the essence right about now.

I'm assuming the problem is flash mining.

Any developers? Or does anyone know chinese? Who knows how to change the difficulty?

I have a few hundreds MH/s and I am considering to re-mine a difficulty-wise longer chain from just before the last difficulty rise, and I would like to hear some feedback from the community.

Will users lose coins bought after the fork. That's disaster.

I've changed my mind. But right now I am mining at lose. Sad

I will keep mining until the next difficulty drop. But we need consensus among the community. The difficulty adjustment algorithm must be changed.

if you are really that miner send me a specific amount of CNC to this address CNpUHjciKL5CNVa9V3yEYAiHyUws5todF2

SMALL amount or large (if you want too Wink).. doesn't matter and post the transaction log here.  I want to see it come from this address however

Then we will know you are not bluffing.

Sorry.. I doubt everyone on here.. lol

I think he wants directions on how to change the difficulty retarget. Where are these settings changed? In the client source? Are they c++ variables? Which file in the source? I'm trying to figure this out as I go. I can program in c++.

Block 58432 found by weminecnc pool
Version 1

Anything found by the other guy = version 2.

I presume my client which was downloaded from the original source would generate a version 1 block.  Weminecnc has the original client so it as well would generate version 1.  Could the following have happened:

1) Download the source code, modify JUST the version number.  Recompile and start mining to throw people off thinking there is a new client?
2) Repeat above however fork the chain at X block in the new client.  Since you now have 300+ MHash everyone else including exchanges AND pools not sync to the new chain unless the new client is released.  If you don't release the new client, is this just to kill the coin?  But that wouldn't make sense because then why waste 300MH on it?

I have put the block version number back on the block display in the CHNCoin explorer on CCE.

I hope it helps to sort this out.
