I have about 1.2M hashrate.  Is it still good to solo or is it better to join a pool?

Think it's to late for solo mining already, but you could get lucky

Blocks are being found every ~8 seconds, chances of finding a block in 7 sec with 1.2Mh/s are pretty low. Try solo for an hour see if you get lucky.

Edit: Plus diff is going to be be ~4 times higher in about an hour or so.

I have setup a CHNcoin p2pool node on my 100mbits dedicated server located in France.
It is based on : https://github.com/chrda/p2pool-chncoin and some small javascript/css modifications.
One more p2pool is still good to have !

Point your miner to : http://chn.bounceme.net:44397

P2Pool has been updated to latest version and restarted. Let's see if the stales will reduce.

Just setup a new test P2Pool for CHNcoin on a 100mbit line with very low latency

CHNCoin p2pool:
http://chncoin.no-ip.biz:9333

cgminer:
cgminer --scrypt -o chncoin.no-ip.biz:9333 -u yourCNCaddress -p x -s 5 --expiry 5 --queue 0

cudaminer:
cudaminer -o chncoin.no-ip.biz:9333 -u yourCNCaddress -p x

Already found some blocks and paid out shares.

Mine away

Your pool looks better than the other one ...

This pool works to me!
Last whole night mined and now 1.5hour mined on http://altcoin.pw:1024 i wasent received any payout and my addr is not showed on list, it suddenly vanished! Don't know why. but ill mine now on chncoin Smiley works and i get payouts!

Thanks, the low network latency seems to help a lot on finding valid blocks

Orphans are a bitch.

And there are so many of them!
I mined about 90 orphans when the coin was first released and actually only got 1 block.

Based on my calculations, 1000KH/s currently makes 4425.6432CNC/day.

Of course I'm not sure I'm right. I used a litecoin calculator and set the difficulty to 1. Then I took how much you made * 1.76 since there are 88 coins and not 50.

Then, I took that times * 2.5 because there is 1 minute blocks instead of 2.5 minute blocks.

Official CHNCoin thread is here and is looking good: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/chncoin-litecoinp2p-192115

The thread above is NOT the official Chinese thread.

Any idea how is this coin received in China? The developer seems to have vanished with a half hearted release and there is no support.

In a strange dilemma. On one hand it looks for of a joke than anything; on the other don't want to miss out in case it is being well received by the Chinese.

would you be bothered to address the Chinese audience, lucky 88's baby!

I'm thinking my latency is too high for these p2pools - not getting work stuff quick enough before there's more.

Seems like it's not too popular at the moment: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/harvey-chncoin-192768 (Use google translate.)

Anyone know where you can get the libraries to run this in Linux?
Code:
./chncoind: error while loading shared libraries: libboost_system.so.1.49.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I have been searching with no luck.
