beautiful marketing document, to comment before diffusion:

I like it, however, the information is not that different from other cryptocoins. We have already seen this before repeatedly. It is not interesting anymore.

I reckon Aeon should go back to its original vision. A lightweight cryptonote coin that can run on your smart phone.

Those documents were more of a “welcome to Aeon” sort of document. They were not really intended to be some large informational source about what Aeon is. It’s a marketing document with more in depth to come.

Aside from that we are inching closer to k12.

How are the present GPU miners weighing in on the change? I reckon they should have no vote because they can always leave and transfer mining on another coin or continue mining the old chain.

However, who is making the Asics for k12 and are they accessible for anyone? I reckon this would be the next problem in this challenge hehe.

Producing ASICs for k12 will make sense economically only when the network grows substantially. And the availability of ASICs will be improved along with the market growth.

The rationale behind my vote for Aletheia (from Gnosticism, meaning truth) is that our switch to ASIC-friendly PoW will eventually reveal the truth that ASIC resistance is ultimately unsustainable.

I'm happy to see AEON alive and growing, lots of good news recently.  Are you guys ready for the trend change? Or do we need a clear bottom, before it?

testing new improvements proposed by our developer u/stoffu

No word from any ASIC manufacturers if they are attempting to make Asics or not.

No, of course not hehe. It would be stupid to expect anything from manufacturers, big or small. However, if they want to, any manufacturer can, hopefully easily, which should be the most important part.

I updated the community blockchain explorer repo based off Stoffu's k12 integrations on his own repo. Feel free to run it on testnet after building the latest pr108 (or master after its merged) https://github.com/AEONCommunity/onion-aeon-blockchain-explorer/tree/K12

Additional interest sent to FireIce for Stak miner feature request for k12: https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak/issues/2456

Looks like Bendroid may be adding k12 to XMrigCC in an upcoming release if we get a clear fork date.

Vulkanminer from Enerc looks like it was working on testnet, have not tried any latest updated but it was having issues with Nvidia until he made a patch. Waiting on that to get merged to release status.

XMrig may not be adding Aeon as no time given for fork but it has been a few months since Stoffu originally asked about it. Forked repo and built Binaries are available for Windows, Linux, and Mac os for CPU miner from various sources.

Seems we have a few FPGA bitstreams in the works for k12, nothing "official" yet due to no fork date released. 17Gh on testnet right now.

No word from any ASIC manufacturers if they are attempting to make Asics or not.

Waiting on testnet pools to test out CN universal and also verify nodejs-pool code is working and fork that to the community repo. Need to make sure there are no bugs there.

Apparently, there is a private mining OS waiting on Aeon for integration. They have been testing privately on their unknown hardware and software. They declined to give more information about what it is.

Aeon Price has been pretty stable since the latest bump up. That is a good thing. Remained interest in the project =).

Since today (6/6/2019) is AEON's 5th year of operation, when is the announcement for masternodes going to be released?  Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy

Totally kidding. Congrats to the ol' AEON blockchain for surviving 5 years of privacy and outlasting the majority of other coins out there! AEON opened the doors for many coins to come into existence over the years! Many more to come, right?

Congrats! AEON has been added into our lightened list. Would be great to see it traded on some truly decentralized exchange some day.

I have no desire to run a full BTC node. I have a LTC node however that is about 17GB unpruned.

I run a few Aeon nodes that require no pruning and will likely never need pruning for a long, long , long , long, long , long ,long time unless there is some massive increase in daily TX's. Which by the way have increased a bunch the past 2 months or so.

IMO if you want to operate a full node, you need the entire blockchain with every transaction in history validated individually by yourself or you are "trusting" that other people are true. I don't personally like to trust others with my money. So far from what I've found, Aeon is the only established chain that can do this on an every day mobile device creating a true mobile, decentralized and private blockchain. It just works, no pruning required.

However, you would not have raised your argument if you knew about pruning from the beginning. Also, pruning in Monero was from research and tests done in Aeon, I reckon. Everyone should use it if they must.

Any idea about the sudden pump?

Yes, i know why it pumped.  A certain newsletter recommended it.  Privacy is the future is what they're saying.  It seems like they front loaded Aeon and that is why you saw the 2 month volume increase.  They say also that Monero could be the next "Bitcoin" in the next few years, not literally but the massive pump potential because rich folks are going to want to hide their wealth.  Buy both?  This is how i found out about this coin, otherwise it would remain unnoticed.

It seems that members who are followers of the newsletter may not have been educated as much as they could have about the project. Aeon has great potential with a very SOLID base blockchain and Core code. I hope that these new followers will stay to see what Aeon has to offer. Aeon turns 5 on June 6th!
