Hi, I am relatively new to Aeon so have much reading ahead of me but I'm impressed by its fundamentals. Does anyone know when a GUI wallet for Mac OS X will be coming out? I've picked up a few hundred coins but have them sat on Bittrex at the moment and would prefer to have them in a wallet that I control the keys of.

who pay for dev team there? Any kind of whale there?

I see that like small brother of Monero. Problem is small volumes (imo) rest looks quite normal. Price reflecting what I told. same pattern on price like monero just 50x smaller. Opinions?

We are a growing US based pool with multiple pool locations worldwide with new nodes coming up in the US very soon!

Pool: AEON Mining Pool (AMP)
URL: https://aeonminingpool.com/

AMP recently achieved 2000 blocks mined since our switch to the PPLNS software (1st October 2017). We are constantly making improvements to our pool code, UI as well as providing internal resources to our Slack community.

SPREAD THE HASH!

Update on the rebase bounty submission

The code that was submitted somewhat works. It is capable of syncing to the chain and running a node. There are several remaining issues and questions that I'm working out with the developer, and not all of the criteria mentioned in the guidelines post are entirely addressed yet, but even at this point I feel it would qualify at a minimum for a partial bounty award.

The bounty remains open for other submissions, there may be multiple winners as described in the guidelines.

Would you mind if we asked who the developer is? Is it slb? We would appreciate it if we knew who he or she is. Thank you.

Also, how long do you reckon will it take to work out the remaining issues with the developer? Will it last for another 3 months or more?

Any developer who wants to come forward is free to do so. I'm not going to out anyone based on private messaging. Of course when there is point when actual bounty payments are going to be made then there will have to be a public claim made (though could still be pseudonymous, so I can't guarantee even then you will get names named in the manner you request), but we are some ways from that.

As far as time, I have no idea whatsoever. People work at their own pace, especially in the case of bounties where the whole idea is to incentivize independent work.

Ok, but does he or she have a Github account online for the public to check on his progress? I reckon the other teams had their Github made public for transparency and it is also something nice to follow.

As for the timeline, what can we do? Delays are always expected in small projects like Aeon hehehe.

Is there any plan to make a GUI wallet ? For many users is better that using a cmd line...

The monero GUI can be easily adapted after the rebase.

Meanwhile, Athan Clark recently developed an open-source GUI wrapper on top of today's AEON simplewallet (https://github.com/aeontransfer/aeontransfer-local/), which seems legit to me. Haven't checked the code myself, please do your own due diligence, as always.

yeah, i want to stress a little bit about what Stoffu is pointing to: it's all about a caution and safety, try to stick to the "official" releases, don't be hasty. Also, official releases are better supported in case of troubleshooting, and therefore giving a contribute and feedback yourself to the actual state of the code and features (in case of bugs for example) indirectly.

Right on. The coin has been moving at its own pace for a while now anyways. It is also good to know that the GUI wallet can be adapted from XMR since a lot of newbs are very nervous about development and ease of use. Perhaps community members should direct them to this thread when they ask.

Is there a way to import the privatekey of a paperwallet into the simplewallet?

The monero GUI can be easily adapted after the rebase.

Very good thank you! Indeed, many are waiting for this. Although I admit the wallet on the command line gives a huge pleasure in the form of a sense of return to the origins - "back to main"

Hi all! Can someone explain to me in few words why aeon is so awesome?
The reason why I focus on AEON because its recent price has risen while its market value has been declining, and I think it will return to where it is supposed to be, so I'm optimistic about it

But what the reason of market growing?? Maybe this is developers pumping!
The coin is not pumped. Simply more and more miners prefer to keep it for the long term. Therefore, the offer on the exchange is very limited now.

you can also, do an cholecystectomy.
its pretty easy.
you need a surgical table
general anethesia
get some trochanters and go to work.
really should take about 30 minutes from start to finish.
I really cant see why more people dont do it more.

The trochanter is not a surgical instrument.  The trochanter is the bony lump near the top of your femur.

if you dont want to leave your Aeons on the exchanges maybe you can try the web wallet:

https://cryptotimes.news/news/aeon-finally-has-a-web-wallet/

Sketchy, no one should trust this not to steal your Aeon. The site could upload your seed. Not even a FAQ page saying anything about seed security or who the devs are.

Edit - web wallet devs posted on Reddit but I find it odd they mention nothing about seed security or how the website handles the seed when you paste in into the account box and click Login https://www.reddit.com/r/Aeon/comments/7qceqa/aeon_pocket_secure_web_wallet_for_aeon/

no thank you, cant you remember how many moneros were lost/stolen trough webwallet...i have some coins on bittrex for over 4-5 years and they are still there

Don't trust web wallets either. Prefer desktop wallets and if possible hard wallets. Bittrex is another good option since I'm making more from trading than from mining Sad .
