Hi guys, i have been doing my research on AEON, has their been any movement on the roadmap? With all the changes/additions to the crypto market, it seems a lot of the items that AEON was looking to implement have been met by other coins.

What direction is this moving in? Curious as i was thinking about allocating some mining resource to this.

Apologies if this sounds stupid.

It does not sound stupid at all. The roadmap was expected to be announced by smooth last month but he has been silent since releasing 0.9.14.0.

The rebase was also expected to be released this year but more tests should be done before smooth can make sure that everything is ready. It might be finished by March 2018, I reckon.

@smooth. I reckon you mentioned something years ago that said that you are waiting for the mobile device hardware industry to catch up with software's needs so that Aeon could be mined and full nodes are run in them.

That time is now. I hope mobile full node development is the next act after the code rebase.

Tech specs are clearly high end, as we’d expect from a flagship first phone from a company like Razer. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 keeps things ticking along nicely, as does the 8GB of dual channel LPDDR4. 64GB of built in storage and a class 10 microSD slot allowing for up to a theoretical 2TB in additional storage as and when cards of that size become available.

I don't have much experience mining, but minergate works fine

If you don't mind them skimming your money.

Agreed. Minergate is easy, but you pay for that ease with a what's pretty much proven to be some shenanigans on their part.

I saw that in your pool there are some suggested software for mining... Which one do you suggest for my configuration ?
I have 2 Intel Xeon e5-2699 v4 (22/44 cores/threads @ 2.8 ghz 55MB L3 cache).

Then I also wanted to ask you about the difficulty: you have 3 different ports to mine with different difficulty. What should change ? At the end I don't get a reward equal to my "contribution", regardless the difficulty... Can you explain me a bit more ?
Thanks!
