this is a proprietary GUI for the Official AEON Wallet, not endorsed by AEON devs in any way, so most we can do is upload parts of our code on bitbucket.
Besides, it actually uses the original simplewallet.exe by Aeonix and is only a GUI.
But your request is to be discussed within our dev team.

Can you link to the github repo with the source? Curious about the code behind the .exe
Would be cool as it would provide trust and would be a nice option for newjoiner in aeon. At the moment its kinda "suspicious" as it is from a random website and might contain wallet logger/malware and whatnot.
We just launched this whole thing so things are still liquid. What you say makes a point, but the same can be said for all startup apps. It is something that we will discuss with the devs in the months to come. For now I would suggest giving it a try with a few small amounts and see if you like it, or even create a new wallet using it. The transactions are handled by Aeon's official simplewallet in any case (which is included as a separate file, allowing you to overwrite with a fresh official download if you want to). This app is just a nice wrapping. We are already writing a FAQ page for all these concerns. Feedback would be most welcome since the app is so new and we would love to hear any ideas you may have.
Better stay away from it until the source code is released and you can build it by yourself, as thehihoguy suggested. That's like the Internet 101: "Do not run a program provided by a stranger".
EDIT:
I've overlooked the 1% wallet fee part. That's absurd.
