LocalMonero hello

Just a question:
How do you deal with disputes using the cash by mail option?
What about if I receive fake banknotes

It perhaps never happened but the risk is not 0% and harder to deal with compared to others options

We would like to add that we welcome the translation of the thread into local languages!  Smiley
Sometimes I'm just a slowpoke on these sort of things. I'll take care of translating your thread into the Portuguese board. Once its done I'll post here for awareness. Perhaps you could link the current available translations in your OP?
RickDeckard, We have also already been sent a translation made by you and we will add a link to the OP in the very near future!
In addition, we were notified about some other things, so we will edit the OP and make some changes to the FAQ.

You're correct, by default we load the trading country based on GeoIP. This can be changed at the footer of the website. The default language is the language of the browser.

That's... odd. I've just tried using VPN and TOR browser, and in one of them I still get EUR (even though TOR is routing me in a UK server) and then in my VPN (which isn't using an American IP) I get USD values. I guess that something must be wrong on my end. Perhaps LocalMonero will be able to clear this doubt whenever he/she is online.
Are you using some enhanced security features that might cause that? AgoraDesk has a version with JavaScript and one without it. I think JS can also be used to geolocate someone's device, but I have never given it much thought. Maybe you can try with a more privacy-invasive browser like Chrome to see if it affects anything.
Yup, I have just used a less hardened privacy solution from my end (Edge in this case) and the prices updated accordingly with the VPN location that I was using as soon as I opened the website. Thank you for helping me understanding what was going on...

I guess they could update this so that the website reads the IP and then adjusts the currency of said IP? Or would it be more privacy invasive?
I believe the site already reads the IP address, at least based on their terms

In addition we automatically gather details of browser types and IP addresses of the users who visit our site.

The site tries to do a good job of changing to the local currencies based on the IP address location, but I noticed that a few locations by VPN providers don't work. For example, on Windscribe, the Turkey free IP address shows USD as the default currency. TOR browser as well leads to similar problems.

I checked the homepage using Windscribe VPN and it automatically changes depending on which countries I used. I tried Singapore, Belgium, US, and some other countries and the price changed accordingly (SGD, USD, EUR, etc).
After seeing your post, I decided to do the same thing to see what happens on my end. And you are right, the default currencies change. It was first EUR. After that, I switched to a Swiss IP, and the site showed prices in CHF. Finally, I tried with a UK one, and saw everything displayed in GBP.

I've just checked using some different VPN servers and the default value seems to be EUR. I guess they could update this so that the website reads the IP and then adjusts the currency of said IP? Or would it be more privacy invasive?

Not sure why it doesn't work for you though. Maybe due to your VPN settings?

Regarding suggestions for the service, what do you think about adding a column that holds information of the premium of each offer? I think this is one of the information that users will be interested in knowing at first hand (at the moment the only way do know this is to make calculations by hand). What do you feel about this?
I agree that the percentage on top of the market price should definitely be there. The best offers always appear on the top of the list, but you still get lost kind of, especially if the prices are displayed in other currencies. And by default they pop up in EUR, at least for me. I don't know about you, but I am used to looking at the BTC price in USD, and don't even like doing conversions into EUR or my local currency.

Kavelj22, Thank you for your efforts. I'd like to add that you don't need permission to post - you can do so if you want (as long as you post valid links). As for the representatives of the Arab section in the campaign, we will think about it, but we will not promise anything.

The official announcement has been successfully translated and published in the Arabic section of the forum. The announcement has satisfied many Arab users who were not aware of AgoraDesk's activity on the forum, according to what I found out from their comments and merit points that I got.

AgoraDesk Official announcement in Arabic Language: !شراء♻️بيع البيتكوين دون كشف هوية|AgoraDesk.com[اعلان]

I invite you to visit the topic and check the validity of all links. You can also ask for a translation review (Proof-reading) from the trusted members in the Arabic board, such as the local moderator OmegaStarScream and other members with honorable reputation.

As I promised you, I will work on updates according to what you publish here, in addition to answering users questions in my local board according to the information and experience I have, and I will report to you any important criticism that I receive through that channel. In this way, I support AgoraDesk and the Arabic section as well, and this is my goal by doing all this work.

Thank you for your trust, and I hope that I will always live up to your expectations.
Always Wish you the best of luck.

Cheers,
Kavelj22

However, feel free to leave your honest review, then Agora will probably rank even better.
I'm planning to use the service in the near future, so do expect a review about it soonish(TM). Looking forward to see if you guys are able to move up on the ranking list here[2] in the future (albeit the competition is fierce, which is great to see!).
Thank you for your presence here and for your early extended comments, it is valuable for us. As you can see the link you provided leads to the page where we are already at the top (so that's pretty good). However, feel free to leave your honest review, then Agora will probably rank even better.

Nice move being able to rent the banner of r/CryptoCurrency[1] considering the recent events that hit some exchanges, it will be great for exposition! Looking forward to see if you guys are able to move up on the ranking list here[2] in the future (albeit the competition is fierce, which is great to see!).
