Tor mirror does not work for me (I wrote about it in a Russian thread but did not receive a response).

There must be something wrong with your Tor connection, we haven't received any other complaints, it should be working fine (http://2jopbxfi2mrw6pfpmufm7smacrgniglr7a4raaila3kwlhlumflxfxad.onion/)

P.S. We don't serve Russian residents at the moment.

Thanks for the feedback! The buyer is, in fact, responsible for the network tx fee, because the buyer is the one that chooses the fee level (if the seller had to bear the costs of the buyer's selected fee level then the buyer has no reason not to choose the highest fee every time). We warn about this on the screen prior to the trade opening. Do you think we could've made it more clear somehow?

This makes sense, and with XMR the fee is so low its basically an inconsequential amount that needs to be paid.

I do see that it says

Quote
Network transaction fees associated with settling the trade will be deducted from the trade amount, meaning you'll receive slightly less than the amount shown.

but for whatever reason I could not enter my entire balance as the trade amount. Regardless, once I figured out I needed to choose a slightly smaller amount, it worked fine.

The LocalCryptos import is impossible at the moment, unfortunately, as the reputation can't be reliably extracted due to the shutdown.
Thank you for the response.

Yeah, just checked it, and it's now completely off, which is so sad. It was still on a few weeks back. There goes my Localcryptos reputation, since I used to use it unlike Paxful and localbitcoins

I look forward to trying it out. Buy / sell spread is reasonable, there are certainly enough different cashout options for my purposes, will report back here with a detailed review of the process afterward.

It's been a few weeks now, got a report for us?  Cheesy

Yes, I do actually.

So I'm in the signature campaign and thus it may be hard to appear as unbiased, but I was actually quite pleased with the speed at which everything was processed, from the deposit to the trade acceptance to the finalization.

I've used a couple other similar services and sometimes it can take days for a trade to finally be settled, thus it is worrying as to whether everything worked as planned until the funds are actually received. Not the case with AgoraDesk. The sellers (at least the ones I worked with so far) are very responsive. Seems to be a highly competent operation.

One small issue was not understanding I was responsible for the trade tx fee, but once I figured that out it was no problem.

One suggestion would be having a place in the vendor profile for them to display a public PGP key. It is comforting to read that you encrypt the messages with your own system but for buyers and sellers who want to use PGP as an added layer of security, this might be a good idea.

Overall: two thumbs up.

Oops, fixed, thanks!
Could we please have an option to import reputation from Localcryptos as well before the site completely shuts down?

How about a dark/night mode option? I think it would come in handy for traders who are always glued to the platform

The LocalCryptos import is impossible at the moment, unfortunately, as the reputation can't be reliably extracted due to the shutdown.

The website will have dark mode soon, but in the meantime you can use our open source apps (open this link from a mobile device) that already have dark mode available:

I just enter the website and finished the registration and was trying to see if the exchange  will be simple has others but my brother it was not easy. I couldn't do anything. Thought I got the public key, but I did not see buy and sell on the first page of the website. My fear was, I would not see my country currency but to my surprise, I saw it there. That is a nice exchange platform .I will still try to use it in my free  time.

Perhaps you're in a region without much activity? In that case you'll see an empty page when browsing offers. Be the first to post an offer!

We can never exclude a massive government crackdown, of course, but so far P2P trading is OK.
Yeah but you never answered what are you doing to prevent this from happening to AgoraDesk Smiley
I don't believe in all the strange stories that happened to all other P2P trading websites all of the sudden, and if I remember correctly one of them publicly said they had to shutdown because of issues with regulations.

We operate our platform in a way such that we always exist in a jurisdiction that allows us to operate a P2P trading platform without requiring KYC. If our jurisdiction make this impossible we'll move to another one.

As for not believing the tertiary factors, I recommend you take a listen to the podcast our co-founder Alex did after LBC shutdown discussing this issue at length.

Hey People!

After a long absence we are back (also OP updated).

Good to hear -- I am highly appreciative of services like LocalMonero.

I'm not as tech-savvy as some of the regulars and have little idea of what reputation importing looks like, so I'd appreciate the details.

Are you referring to the dual authorization that identifies your username on Localcryptos?  Roll Eyes
If one had a trading account in Localbitcoins or paxful in the past that had good reputation (positive feedback) there is an option to import that reputation from other platforms into one's localmonero account.

They require one to add a specifically generated code to the profile of the account in the platform where you want to import the reputation from. After that one then sends them the profile link, they verify it and add the other feedback from that profile onto one's localmonero account

So far they only support Paxful and localbitcoins which is why I was suggesting them to add support for localcryptos too since I used it more than the other two platforms.

Step [3]
Next, you'll be prompted to enter your settlement wallet address. If you don't have a personal XMR wallet, you can use either the official Monero GUI or CLI wallet or Feather wallet. Copy your address from your wallet and paste it in the "Receiving Monero address" input (make sure the pasted address is the same as the copied address). Please note, that the wallet you use for trade settlement must be your own, third-party hosted wallets are not allowed. Once done, press "Start trading".
I probably found a typo that's easy to fix for you @LocalMonero - I think that you should modify this section of your post so that it matches with the associated image (BTC instead of XMR mentions). Other than that, keep up the good work! It is always great to know that we can count on another P2P service to satisfy the needs of the community.

Welcome back Smiley
I was wondering how can you prevent ending up in similar fashion like Paxful, LocalBitcoins, LocalCryptos and other P2P trading websites that shut down recently under pressure from regulators?
Looks like you are one of the last P2P marketplace werbsites standing (not counting fruit app that was recently released).
