Hi, It's "Animecoin 0.8.3 BETA" (please guys, correct me if I am wrong). According to source: https://github.com/Animecointeam/Animecoin
Hmm I have 0.8.3.1 since february, so if it wasnt updated since then thats been a while and we are vulnerable to the heartbleed bug for instance :|
Yes, that's really one of our community's greatest concern.
Info: "How serious is the risk
"If you are using the Windows version of the Bitcoin Core GUI without a wallet passphrase, it is possible that your wallet could be compromised by clicking on a bitcoin: payment request link. If you are using bitcoind (on Linux, OSX, or Windows), have enabled the -rpcssl option, and allow RPC connections from the Internet, an attacker from a whitelisted (-allowip) IP address can very likely discover the rpcpassword and the last rpc request. It is possible (but unlikely) private keys could be sent to the attacker." (by analogy with https://bitcoin.org/en/alert/2014-04-11-heartbleed)
In order to try to alleviate this problem, what I do for the moment is to keep my savings in an Offline (Paper) Wallet and only to keep a small "day-by-day use" ANI amount at the Wallet GUI Address.
