Your history may be inaccurate. I believe the coin launched on another exchange prior to Poloniex, that exchange was hacked, but prior to the hack the price of UTC hit closer to $1.00 (maybe peaked at $0.92) can anyone refresh my fuzzy memory on this point?

It was on Crypto-Trade before any other exchange, Feb 7th I think. It pumped up to ~0.00148BTC if memory serves, which was right at $1USD at the time, as that was the target of the pumpers. (BTC was over $700 at the time.)

do not worry everybody, i have 100 BTC and i will buy 10,000,000 UTC at 0.00001
buy some more,my hreo,it's the best chance.

are those walls on cryptsy, yours, utcminer? Smiley

Some were mine. I still have lots of more UTC for you guys. No worries.
on the sell or the buy side? Smiley

Sad if he have lots and lots more UTC then it is on the sell side off course !

If he sells them now then he dumps for lower then lowest prices.

If he sells now for that prices he is a dumper (off course he has all the right to dump if he want and when he want).

But if somebody dumps at those low prices it is not something to be proud off.

Then it is not a UTC supporter.

Because selling at those stupid prices is harming UTC.

Uh, how about the UTC community rectify the UTC Multipool theft? Then you won't have people dumping (and rightfully so) at any price. I know I wouldn't.

Hello everyone,

I would just like to commend rapture333 for all the great work he has thus far achieved to assist UTC, in all departments, I feel his commitment is second to none, and I admire his communication style and dedication, I just visited the new UTC forum, and it looks and feels fresh and open, an excellent foundation for all.

I am convinced he is right about the community using the official site more.

Fantastic work, rapture333.

Many thanks.

I am facing a weird issue with ultracoin.

The wallet.dat is around 95 mbs and is eating 100% of one of my 6 cores.

Every command is taking like 10 mins+ on average to get executed.

For example :  ./ultracoind getinfo take around 12 mins to fetch data.

On doing ./ultracoind -salvagewallet, it gives a wallet..dat and a new wallet.dat containing some data (priv/pub key pairs hopefully).

Now i am completely lost about what to do? Sad

Steven - nice job on the Ultracointalk site - Thanks much appreciated!

@MrBlacky

Which is exactly why I support Ultracoin. I think that as long as we have our heads in the right place, and continue to make conscious, well thought out decisions to move the coin forward, we will succeed, despite the changes in price (I am more concerned with "value"). We want to expand as quickly as we can without expanding too quickly! That means we can't cut corners, we have to have a solid foundation to build upon first. I will also have some news I hope to announce later tonight. One good example is 5 Guys, they are an example of a successful businesses that expanded to quickly, and then collapsed into its own footprint. They are still around, but not nearly as they were before, take a look at the crypto scene, you will see a lot of coins that have had huge rises to success followed by swift falls.

Today I decided to work on the forum and have implemented some exciting upgrades which includes a new professional theme, a smartphone and tablet friendly version of the site, a new shoutbox and some tweaks to the boards. I believe migration to UltracoinTalk would be a great thing for the community, it would show investors that we are a large community, it would diversify discussions into many threads instead of just 1 large linear thread, and it would also be a place where past discussions can be archived, stored and retrieved instead of lost into the abyss. One thought I had was, why aren't more people using the forum? At first I thought, well they must not know about it, so I advertised the forum on here and social media. So then I thought, hmmm, why aren't more people still not using. And then I had an epiphany, perhaps its not the communities fault that they aren't using the forum, perhaps it is my fault that I am not doing enough to attract new members! If there is a reason no one is using a product, it is probably not the customers fault, it is the inventors. So I hope the new and improved UltracoinTalk is more streamlined and attractive than the older version! If you have any suggestions or anything else you would like to see added, please let me know so I can look into implementing them!

Sincerely,

WOW - whats happening here?

I go away for a few days - price drops to 0.000008 - then ensues the biggest buying spree in a VERY LONG TIME.  Price doubles and almost triples from the low.

Have I missed some important announcement?

Who is buying all the UTC and why?

Huh

Hahaha! No, my walls are always on the selling side. I only dump on crap coins and UTC is not one of them.
To be honest, I don't really understand why UTC doesn't have more support, it's a good coin.
I am not saying this to boost is value, since I doubt a post on a forum will affect its price, but 5 sec transaction time, Scrypt-Chacha algo?
I mean, from a practical point of view, it's better than most alt-coins, if anything, its place is up there next to VTC and Dark.

My only concern with UTC is the devs.

About the coin +1

About your concern, can I be curious about it, please explain Huh

If I see how the price goes of UTC I think we maybe would be better of if the management team take the coin to full pos instead of postpone it !!!

See the price, now we are also going nowhere, only down, so why not take the change/risk and go full pos Huh

Please stop promoting this idiotic and completely unreasonable idea that going full PoS somehow equates to a rise in price. There is NO correlation between PoW/PoS and price. None. Zero. Just stop it. Why do you keep saying this? STOP!

The price doubled today so I am not sure what you are talking about. Prices fluctuate all the time, if you watch the price everyday you're going to be bi-polar soon. As far as full POS, read this: http://goo.gl/HuxRDH

Hmmmm......price doubled today Huh
It is now at 0.00001440 BTC (1440 Satoshi) and 0.00891994 USD.
Off course it fluctuate, that's ok.
But come on dear rapture, the price is going serious down for almost two/three months now !
So what do you mean with looking everyday to the price and getting bi-polar ?

About your full pos report, it is very nice written.
It is a real good written marketing story, as to expected because you are the public relation and marketing man around UTC.
Anyway, thanks for that report and the serious time you put in to it. It is great you do that.
But how nice (one way) written as it is, your report gives nobody any guaranty that not going full pos is the best for UTC.
