Bumface...
Please can you explain me what the difference is between this Ultracoin and the "other" Ultracoin as seen at http://ultra-coin.com ?

These are two different coins, Bumface has been in contact with the owner of Ultra Coin and they've decided to co-exist.

Thank you for this answer PieterJan.....

But @Bumface,  why somebody else answer a question i asked directly to you ?

....is it to difficult to give a answer to a serious question ?

So dear Bumface if you can answer directly or confirm what PeterJan say's i would be thankfull....
Ultracoin is a crypto currency, mister Middleton is making a program to short bitcoin and other features.I have spoken to the gentleman and we have decided to peacefully co-exist

how many block remain to halving reward ?

990,000 x.5 (30sec) =495,000 (min) / 60 (hour) = 8250 / 24 (day) = 343.75 days to halving (appx. 1yr)

thanks bro ... but UTC lunched 1 feb ... and block reward halved twice from 200 to 100 and then 100 to 50 ... if need 1 year for halving block reward how block reward halved twice from 1 feb till now ? i cant undrsatnd it ...

I am using ultracoin miner as well. Last thing that comes to my mind would be drivers. I have 13.11.
It's not a driver issue. Some cards are better than others. My 7970 does 730kh/s on LTC but only 500kh/s on UTC and I've tried at least 200 different conf. settings.

Its lower on scrypt-jane cause it is supposed to be lower. And how you sure it is not driver issue? scrypt-jane doesnt work on 14 drivers at all...
Test other drivers and let us know. If it was a driver issue other than 14.1, which has been well documented as not working, then it would have been discovered and posted here by now.

I am new to linux.  I was able to set up cgminer 3.7.2, but I cannot figure out how to set up this jane scrypt miner.  I downloaded the miner, but I am not sure which file to edit.  I could not find the executable file in the linux miner.  So far I could only  find windows instructions on how to set the miner up.  If anyone could point me to some linux setup instructions I would appreciate it.

2x R9 290's getting just shy of 700Kh/s each (headless) - looking at other things to tweak to try and reach that point.

scrypt vs scrypt-jane hash rate drop doesn't appear to be a variable difference on old/new cards - my 7970 is also just shy of 600Kh/s; haven't tested on anything older though. I'm 'losing' maybe 10-20% in comparison to standard scrypt.
