1. Participating in an ICO merely involves transferring some cryptocurrency (mostly Bitcoin/Ethereum) to a specified address. You should be able to do this in Exodus. The ICO folks have a way to keep track of who invested with what amount (to that end, they may make you create a unique ICO account). They give you an amount of ICO cryptocurrency depending on your share of the total amount received by them (some ICOs have a cap on investment, while some are open).
2. Please make sure you do a lot of reading about the project. This site, ICO reviews on Youtube, discussions on Steemit, reddit; are a good starting point. Unfortunately, there is a lot of 'meaningless ranting/currency-bashing', but there are surely gems of advice hidden between them.
3. Bear in mind that altcoins are receiving a lot of new attention and everyone is looking to make a fortune. Please make sure you don't get carried away and invest with whatever you can afford to lose. If you've been following the action in the recent weeks, the price-action in cryptos is very volatile.

But, more importantly, I haven't a clue on how to join in on the crowd sale. Are there any specifics or demands I have to meet in order for me to invest during the crowd sale?

I hope they release the ICO details soon, I'm afraid that Whales will just buy up most of the supply though... 
I also waiting for the details of ICO so that I also have same feeling this would ended up so like other big projects mostly big players will hold the all coins by participating with big amount. So let's see when these details will come out just few hours left for this according to the OP.

Seriously, bounty app with telegram manager and all the different coins is the best bounty I've seen. I have no idea why some ppl don't like it.

and I hope they will not put a cap like the others did because it will be over before it will even start. the best system, in my opinion, is for them to collect from everybody over a period of time and then return a %, assuming they meet their target. that way every body enjoy the ICO equity. and I hope they will not put a cap like the others did because it will be over before it will even start. the best system, in my opinion, is for them to collect from everybody over a period of time and then return a %, assuming they meet their target. that way every body enjoy the ICO equity. i am ready and good to go, but if they'll put a CAP there is very little chance that any of us will be able to invest in time - the whale's will finish it in no time (like the last two ICOs)!
