Crackfoo, why can't i set a payout address on http://ben.hasher.ca i haven't received a confirmation email to unlock and your email on the site will not send either. Kind of pointless mining when you can't get your coins once mined.  Huh

It's working now thanks. Grin

Yea, no block source means no peer connected. Weird

the nodes keep changing... My list is a little old but still works. I go thru and ping em to clean up the node list from time to time.
bet many are dead by now...

getpeerinfo will show who is synced and connected to you

also if you want to keep your node list semi private u can use connect= to use a specific node.
and removenode= to get rid of a node. (addnode  )

this can be helpful too

NOPE.

7 days behind.
balance of ZERO.

Sad

what the hell am I doing wrong?

I have the .conf in there with the nodes. I added -server to the shortcut for the wallet. I did a dance to the Ben gods....

You deleted everything except benjamins.conf and wallet.dat right?

Does it say Synchronizing with Network or No Block Source?

It says no block source available.

I am now going to try what mine2slow posted....

Not sure why everyone uses a .bat file it's not needed, I use this for solo and I set all my solo miners to rpcport=8332 this can be whatever you want.
server=1 in the .conf is the same as -server in a bat works either way.

listen=1
daemon=1
server=1
gen=1
irc=0
logtimestamps=1
setaccount=benaddy
rpcallowip=192.168.1.*
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcport=8332
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1

OH FFS!
No, I am not, I've never seen anyone ever explain -server is needed for the .conf to work, on any thread, about any coin, on any forum.
I am so far behind the curve, so much to learn...

*headdesk*

I will use my .bat and see what happens when I get home in a bit. See what happens.

I might be wrong, but I was under the impression that if you didn't launch as server, it didn't even try to read the .conf

Nope, still not syncing. I am going to leave it sitting there for a while longer, see if it does it when I am not staring at it.

But, just in case, can someone paste a complete working conf file for me to copy?

Please and thank you.

rpcuser=x
rpcpassword=pass
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9336
server=1
gen=0
....

Been sitting there for a while now, not syncing.

Sad

uninstall, delete all but wallet.dat and try again?
Or am I just not crossing my eyes correctly when I run it?

You're using the .bat to launch as server? I would try deleting everything except wallet.dat and benjamins.conf - Might help if you clear the peers and block chain
u dont need a bat file just send a shortcut from your wallet qt to desktop
right click short cut and the bottom option should say PROPERTISES
add -server at end of target address
should look like this
G:\Mayhem\Wallets\Benjamins\benjamins-qt.exe -server

Ah, yea. That works, too, I'm just used to making the .bat

Is it working now?

its not lost as long as you have wallet.dat.....
Did you add the nodes to your benjamins.conf file?

Weird. Just make sure -server is in your .bat and just copy the .conf, that's what I'm using right now and I've got about 30 connections. You could always try opening port 9336 and see if that helps

Ben, yep, I am calling you that now,
I reinstalled after deleting the useless bits, still nothing.
I copied wallet.dat to my laptop and the conf and install it, same thing.

I am not sure what you mean by open port 9336, so I have not tried that.

I know I only have 680ish (I got more!) Bens in there, but it took me a lot of effort to get it and I hate to lose em...

Yes, I launched with the .bat.

I'll try deleting stuff after I find some food and a drink.

Thanks for helping, I do appreciate it.

We were having some intermittent issues with our primary internet connection earlier, we are running on backup line until we get them resolved.  Everything working OK now!
